Movies Marvel, Creed Actor Jonathan Majors Arrested for Strangulation, Assault & Harassment Charges

Love it, especially if you start to get hints of the big bad somewhere behind the scenes. Little tiny pieces that will eventually build to something.

This. So much this. Focus on the street-level heroes like Spider-Man and Daredevil for a while. Drop hints that someone is working behind the scenes, but he's so clever and subtle, no one knows who he is or what his real plans are. Make Kingpin the Big Bad for this Phase, but when he's finally taken down, it turns out he's been working for someone else all along

Over time, introduce the FF and X Men. Finally reveal that the Big Bad is Doctor Doom, leading directly into a true Secret Wars adapation.

Of course, this would only work if the MCU did FF and Doom justice. And I have absolutely zero faith in that happening.

I don't think Kevin Spacey ever made a comeback.

Not yet, but he was found not guilty of some of the charges against him a few months ago, so there's still time for him to start making films again.

Reports that Marvel has dropped the title Kang Dynasty and the movie is just being called Avengers 5 until they can come up with a real title.

Problem is that he'll be rushed. I think they would have gone with him for Secret Wars but then they would have had a FF movie first to introduce him. With so much of this phase already in the can I don't know when they can organically bring him in.

I expect they'll try to retcon the fuck out of Doom; suddenly, he will have been around for years, manipulating events behind the scenes.

Remember the, "Latveria scene" from Moon Knight?

Justice system is fucked. Someone explain to me how she didn't get any charges. The system is weaponized against men.

He's valuable and has the right politics. He'll get the James Gunn treatment, not the Gina Carano.
Whatever happened to James Gunn? As nd Carano?
They both made/were in shit movies, sure...

I can't blame Disney for wanting to distance themselves from him. WB probably would have given him a raise. A guilty verdict never looks good even if this is a total nothingburger. He was found guilty on the lesser 2 of 4 misdemeanors, one of which is reckless assault likely for the minor injuries she sustained as he was trying to get the fuck away from her.

He may have lost out on a big role, but he will walk away from this a richer man. Wisdom is the greatest wealth. Never put your dick in crazy. Only some nutso will chase you for 5 blocks while "fearing for her life."

When it rains it pours for Marvel.

They invested about a billion dollars in this guy and got no real return.

After losing money, overall on their film division in 2023. Congrats,

He should've converted to Youknowwhoism and announced he was gay. Worked for Ezra Miller.

drop the big bad trajectory altogether. just focus on the individual characters, who sometimes needs to team up to defeat a powerful threat. the MCU doesn’t need a Thanos payoff right now. they need to rehabilitate the characters on the micro—trying to tell a meaningful, character(s)-driven story that people give a shit about turns to mush when fitting it into a framework that only cares about the interconnectivity of the macro.
Exactly. And just reboot the entire MCU and start over so we don't have to watch people refer to the blip or the snap. And more importantly, it removes time travel and multiverse shenanigans.

Because once those things are introduced then there's no stakes anymore. Anything can be undone so nothing feels consequential.

I find it a bit amusing how everyone thinks Doom should be the next big bad in Marvel. Sure, he's a great character, but he isn't some alpha powerful foe.

Galactus is. He should be the next mega threat.

However, I think Marvel should shy away from that for a while and go with either lesser powered villains such as Absorbing Man, Graviton, Ultron (bring him back please), etc. Or better yet, bring in teams like the Masters of Evil, Sinister 6, Serpent Society, etc.

There is so much ground that could still be covered without going the Thanos level threat.

Doom actually stole Galactus' power during the OG Secret Wars.

The problem with Galactus is that he's a cosmic level threat. Only teams like the FF and Avengers stand a chance against him. He's basically a force of nature.

By contrast, Doom has such varied abilities and interests he can work in many genres: mad science, espionage, cosmic level events, magic etc.
