Elections Will Trump be on the primary and/or general ballot? (SCOTUS says Trump will remain 9-0)

@heloder and no i don't want dems just to agree, i just want somebody...anybody to finally admit these moves are politically motivated more than anything else, which they are. i've never seen any leftist say, well shit maybe we're taking things too far. but nope it's just doubling and tripling down.

not my president! illegitimate! russian asset! unstable! gonna start ww3! tyrant! dictator! wall are closing in! the end is near! domestic terrorist! insurrectionist! throw him in prison! file charges! he has bad BO! just remove him from the ballot!

whining fucking crybabies. the rude crude business man outsider managed to out hustle some swamp creatures one time and they couldn't live with it for the rest of time. tough shit! not worth burning the entire fucking system just to get back at him. what they've done to the country is despicable.
Some people think what he did J6 should be disqualifying. It’s a reasonable position to take regardless of politics. Anyway, his 91 felony charges will probably do him in and it’s not going to matter.

He is actually back on in CO, as that SOS decided she doesn’t have the authority, as did the state Supreme Court of MI and MN, so this SOS in Maine is clearly trying to bypass the law and should be held accountable of federal election crimes, election interference, of nothing else. Her emails and other contacts should be subpoenaed for potential conspiracy to federal election interference.

The Colorado Republican Party on Wednesday appealed that state's Supreme Court decision that found former President Donald Trump is ineligible for the presidency, the potential first step to a showdown at the nation's highest court over the meaning of a 155-year-old constitutional provision that bans from office those who "engaged in insurrection."

The first impact of the appeal is to extend the stay of the 4-3 ruling from Colorado's highest court, which put its decision on pause until Jan. 4, the day before the state's primary ballots are due at the printer, or until an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court is finished. Trump himself has said he still plans to appeal the ruling to the nation's highest court as well.

Colorado's Secretary of State Jena Griswold said Thursday that, with the appeal filed, Trump will be included as a candidate on the state's primary ballot unless the U.S. Supreme Court declines to hear the case or upholds the state supreme court's ruling.

so he's "back on there" until the 4'th, to when the stay will be removed and he will not be on the ballots. unless of course the supreme court decides to come to his rescue, like all of those times they forgot to do back in 2020 way back when the orange messiah was busy getting fucked over in the courts left right and center by all of those pesky deep state trump-appointed judges and everything.

tick tock!

From my understanding wouldn't there have to be a law signed by congress specifically laying out the crime of insurrection, then in a court of law Trump would have to be be found guilty of insurrection as labeled and as described by that law for the 14th amendment to apply here.

None of this has happened, so how can it even apply? Imo all this stunt is going to do is leave a bunch of egg on the Democrats face and result in more people voting against them.

looks like GOP has taken on christian talk show host, Jay Sekulow, as their lead lawyer to take the charge and represent them in their desperate pleas to have the supreme court take up a ruling on those 14th amendment issues they want to challenge.

well i guess it's a step up from those village drunkards, qanon conspiratards, parking garage lawyers, swingset installers, divorce attorneys, and personal injury lawyers that donny was using to do his legal bidding. so at least they've got that going for them. maybe they will even pay this guy.

If enough states remove him, he wont have time to apeal them all to the SCOTUS before election time.

What? Yes he will.

Regardless, it won't be many states. A few blue(and basically inconsequential) states will try it, but that's as far as it will go. It would actually be hilarious if he won the election, despite being taken off of some ballots.

2024 is gonna be lit. This is just the appetizer.

Im not sure what i despise more, your AV or the fact that a 2010 join date is using the slang word "lit" in the wrong context for your era. "lit" means intoxicated on some form of drugs. I had this arguement with my son, but he is 15, how old are you?

Don’t be so hard on him. He’s Canadian, that word just came out over there.

"Lit" just means crazy. Can be positive or negative, and applied to all sorts of things.

Also, it really is a testament to the character of Joffery, that the mere image of him triggers people. It wasn't my intention at the time, but it's fascinating at how so many people just see that image and react like it's Hitler and I'm a mouthpiece for him. He's just a fictional character. Should change my Av to Teddy Ruxpin or some shit, and see what happens.

Go for it. I'm for anything that makes you even a little bit less repulsive.

I mean they've been telling everybody for 7 years they'll stop at nothing and rig anything in their way to control election outcomes, so it's not exactly a surprise they've resorted to political prosecutions and ballot rigging.

It's not like there are people who didn't know he's running, and he's up like 50 points in the primary, so it's pretty likely that he wins anyway just from write ins.

Did you read the word "rebellion" in section 3 of 14? Did he not rebel?

Even better, he has no business even posting in a thread about an election of a former US president as he can't vote here.

First bill of the 2021 congress was election reform, including letting all the migrants vote. Since that failed, everything has been thrown into chaos; regarding immigration. Hopefully Trump can deport these people

At least I've been paying taxes here for nearly 10 years even though I can't vote till the next election. He has venom in his heart like it's a personal vendetta haha.

I disagree, our policies and sentiments often reflect with canada.

I think canadians have reason to be concerned with whats goes on in America, just as we are with them
