It's not even debatable

They’ve only announced one main card fight for 300 so far and it’s a banger, when they both have the same amount of fights announced then it becomes a better debate.

Another thing to keep in mind, sometimes the name value in fight cards don't always live up to expectations.
E.g. Francis vs Lewis was expected to be a banger, Izzy vs Romero etc. Some prelim no name fights ended up being better

But i agree for the most part, based on the current cards it does appear 299 is expected to be better for now. But im sure theres some banger cards yet to be announced for 300

What? no way you can consider a huge favorite Weili who is expected to dominate that fight a banger

True. I'm just referencing pre fight hype names tbh.

If they announce:
Jon Jones vs Stipe and Jones will delay his surgery
Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz
GSp vs Khabib
Brock vs Aspinall
Ronda vs Tate 2

I'll change my mind

Jorge vs Askren II
Elon vs Suck
The Prodigy vs Mike Jackson
War Machine makes his long awaited return

300 is gonna be lit

I'm watching them both and so are you. Can't really determine which is the better card until after the fights.

Naturally.
The 299 card is purely there to sell 300, they are gonna stack it up with old retirees and nostalgia bait the fans.

300 is a MILESTONE EVENT. It should be a card people talk about for years, let alone the best card of the year. Expectations should be through the roof. The only fight so far that is worthy of such a big event is the oliveira vs tsarukyan fight. Everything else is generic PPV ### worthy.

sounds like perfect setup for WMMA main event

I’ll wait to see the full card until saying it’s better. But both are shaping up to be good. I think 300 is going to be hurt by outrageous expectations regardless of how good of a card it is though.

Are you on mushrooms? Virtually none of these are old retirees / nostalgia.

O'Malley vs Vera is a title fight with two guys in their prime, arguably O'Malley hasn't even hit his prime yet. They are both best-in-the-world level fighters right now.

Saint Denis is 28 and on a terror run, he's best described as rising prospect. Maddalena is a 27 year old prospect undefeated in 6 UFC fights. Burns is a ranked veteran who had a FOTY burner with Khamzat, nobody serious would describe him as a nostalgia fighter.

Kevin Holland is 31 in his prime and putting on bangers. MVP is making his UFC debut.

Blaydes, Gamrot, Yan and Yadong are all in their prime and contenders in their division.

Calling 299 a retirees card is the worst hot take I've seen in a while. This card is one of the best they've put together in years if it holds up.
