First post and not an easy subject to broach clearly... While I am and will always be on the side of the innocent who suffer in these situations, I do want to ask an honest question. Can any people who consider themselves Muslim and follow Islam ever accept the idea of a Jewish state?

The hatred and eradication of the Jews is clearly present in the teachings of Muhammad and thus I have trouble imagining a scenario where Israel could ever be accepted unless the teachings of Muhammad are pushed aside and the hadiths on the subject disregarded once and for all.

If we look at Sahih al-Bukhari for example, we have the following (there are others, but this one could not be clearer):

"The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."

I just don’t see how peace can ever come about if something like what I just quoted above is accepted and wanted to be applied to follow the teachings of Muhammad.

Yes, the Palestinians actually share the same Levantine DNA as the Jews and Samaritans. In terms of distance, the Palestinians are most closely related to the Samaritans. You know what's even more shocking? Palestinians are actually descendants of Samaritans who converted to Christianity or Islam after the Muslim Arab invaders conquered the area. Both the Samaritans and Jews believe in similar religions and are descendants of ancient Israelites.
