Hello all! I'm going back and watching fun fighters. I feel like people around here forgot about rich Franklin, Chris Lytle, Carlos Condit, drew mcfedries, Marcus Davis, Roger Huerta, Alessio sakara, Terry Martin, Chris leben, and many many more. If you're reading this. Try to take the time and show love to deserving mentions. Respectful!

Just me talking, but hard to call McFedries, Davis, Sakara, Martin and Huerta "legends". Icons, maybe...and not all of them are icons, IMO. Lytle, Condit, Franklin and Leben...yeah, I agree with those.
Michael McDonald was one of my favorite fighters who seems to be forgotten. Sad he never got to reach his full potential.

Used to love this guy. Last time I watched him was Bellator, I think, and after he won he said he was thinking about retirement because he was tired of breaking his hands...I never saw him again, but read somewhere that he owns a wood working shop or something like that.

That was the era that got me interested in MMA. 12 year old me was a big fan of Huerta and Sakara.

The man, the myth, the legend, Mr. Gennnnnnkiiiiiiiiiiiiii................... SUDO

His death really hurt me. I remember back in the mid 2000s back in middle school me and my friends
in class on a friday in 12 period , we would huddle in the back of the class and watch kimbo
street fights. the nerds would be playing Neo pets on the computer or be on their nintendo DS

and the girls would be gossiping about drama.

We would act besides ourselves and the teacher would have to tell us to calm down lol.
to me this was what the new age of modern fighting looked like. ahhhhh man where did time go.
You couldnt tell me back then Kimbo couldnt beat mike tyson.

FAST forward to 2009 my two other favorite fighters at the time Rampage and rashad were going at it.
TUF10 Still p4p the best season, and they announced
My man KIMBO was going to be on it. and then

I remember this moment I was eating a Whopper from burger king and i knocked over my soda in Excitement.
i was jumping up and down like a mad man thinking Kimbo was gonna finally show hes the real deal. I remember
shouting LETS GO, LETS GO . I Suddenly was like the hell with rampage or rashad This Kimbos House.
I imagined a scenario thinking Kimbo was gonna curse out dana and was gonna start beefin with Rampage and rashad making
it a triple threat beef lol. turns out Kimbo was as humble as they come.... i thought he would starch everyone like
Rumble/ francis would later do. i was so livid when roy nelson didnt stand with him lol. Back then i didnt really factor kimbo's
age. ahhh Im telling UFC MMA will never be like that again.

ahhhhh man i miss those days, the early mid 2000s, the zuffa ufc era and even spike tv itself lol.

some of yall could never understand what this dude meant to me RIP KIMBO my heart goes out to your kids,
he was a GOOD Father, one of Kimbos son was born with some disability but the one thing
his son really looked forward to was playing with his papa kimbo on the mat,
i legit right now have tears in my eyes thinking that that poor boy.

<DCrying> RIP KIMBO KIMBO FOR LIFE MAN. I LOVE YOU BRO

God dam this guy to me was Khamzat before khamzat , of course im exaggerating
but he just had that sinister look and smug. This was back when the Brazilians ran the game and
the 205 division was at its best and he was just one of the many contenders who were Monsters....

such an exciting fighter and a killer.

Had the Josh Emmett problem of routinely breaking his granite hands on peoples skulls. I was similarly high on this guy, and he would’ve been Bellator champ for certain
