How much better is DDP's cardio because of his nose?

I feel people are over thinking his performance against Rob. Acting like new nose DDP is different. He really doesn't have bad cardio. More optically. I have a deviated septum from kick boxing and when I run I only use my nose which actually helps my cardio. I use to be a tool and have the Wandy mask but my nose is so fucked it works just as well. Till should never win a round against a champ.

It’s surely better but it’ll be hard for him to fight his usual style and pace for 5 rounds against a grinder like Sean. He’ll have to be more measured

DDP nose getting fixed is equivalent to a hot rod getting fitted with nitrous. Believe me, I know what I'm taking about.

Never had cardio issues it just looked like he did as due to sinus issues he always breathed out of mouth - I had same problem (not a fighter but noatrils were blocked due to septim deviation) . His cardio has gotten even better since surgery but was never a issue before. Was just an issue due to announcers not knowing the situation and just seeing him breathe from mouth an calling him gassed but he never slowed.

He only fought Whittaker since the surgery and he joked about how fresh he was after the fight on the mic. Though, the fight only went to round 2 before he finished Whittaker, he still looked highly energized.

Besides, his cardio was fine even before that. In the Till fight, he cashed in all of his energy in round 1 to get the TKO when he landed something like 70 punches in a space of 30 - 40 seconds on Till. The ref refused to stop it despite him getting battered and he was saved by the bell. Round 2, Dricus came out slow and Till started landing when Dricus was breathing heavily before he suddenly regained his energy and started taking control of the fight back. Eventually, in round 3 he went and submitted Till (someone who trained wrestling with Khamzat for 2+ years and Dricus was taking him down at will).

Hard to tell. He was much more reserved and patient against Whittaker than he's ever been before. And it isn't like the fight went into deep waters. He finished him halfway into round 2.

He usually gasses in fights where he spazzes out all over the place throwing strikes from every angle and getting into lengthy grappling scrambles.

We still don't know if he didn't gas against Bobby Knuckles due to the nose operation or his more measured approach.

imo it looked by his body language he was starting to gas against Whittaker right before he clipped him.

We shall get a better look tonight if it goes to the championship rounds.....

According to dricus, the nose was only like 10-20 percent of the problem. They also addressed the cardio by bringing in new physical trainers and staf who tweaked his conditioning programming, and he believes that played a bigger role than the nose.

He lives and trains at very high elevation, so you'd think his conditioning would be on point. But I'm still unsure about his conditioning because the only times he saw round 3 in the ufc, he had great rounds, but physically looked horrible.
