Bekzat is 26 years old with a professional MMA-record of 17-1 (13 KO/TKO, 2 sub.), on a 9-fight winstreak against solid competition.
He mostly fought in the Eurasian OCTAGON League.

Bekzat Almakhan, welcome to the UFC:

I actually saw a fight (or two) of his in the Octagon org, but to be perfectly honest, I can’t recall details. I’ll check him again online. Very solid record.

wow this guy has really, really fought nobody

Sometimes orgs are isolated from the rest of the world but there's always a link to someone who has beat someone who has beat someone, at least

Funny how much variance there is in Kazakhs, this guy looks like umar Nurmagomedov, and shavkat looks like a nomadic warrior from siberia

Alibi Idiris is one to keep an eye out for if they sign him. Look at how he demolished Erisson Ferreira who was on Contender Series

I first read that as idris alba lol would have been dope to see him take the leap into mma even at his age

I'm not so sure about that...
Sherdog Fight Finder over Tapology?
What we're looking into is whether all of his matches registered under Zhekpe Zhek were MMA fights. Zhekpe Zhek is the national martial art of Kazakhstan, and it's also an ununified banner of many fights in that country that are with that sport or in MMA. It's a huge mess and we're trying to unravel things. Based on videos I've seen, the kid could be 14-1, or he could be like 23-1 (or maybe even 2, not sure about that other one).
Hey man @JayPettryMMA
What fight record do you think the UFC will show on it’s broadcast this Saturday? And what would be their reasoning for it? Just using the best looking one? Or do they always use the same “record-provider”?

Bezkat & his corner right before they walk out to face Umar:

Hey @Valhoven , could you maybe answer this question ? :)
Looks like Jay hasn’t been around for a couple of days.

you are mistaken. the depth of fighters there is of much higher quality than you realize. just because you don't know who they are, and they don't have wiki or some crap, doesn't mean shit.

Can't speak directly on the latest there but I don't think it's yet resolved, TBH, because the ZZ hairball has needed teasing apart for a while now, being larger than any one fighter. Jay's nothing if not a man of his word; he'll reply one way or another when has something to confirm.

They're going to list him at 17-1.
