News Dana White says Mcgregor vs Chandler will "Hopefully" Happen This Year "There Is No Set Date, Eyeing End of The Year"

The initial hold up was conman failing to enter the USADA testing pool, which is why the fight never happened last year. Supposedly he did finally enter the testing pool, but the USADA program ended on 1/1, and there's a new program now in place. So, who knows what's going on with testing now, but he should be cleared sometime in April I think. Gotta wonder why UFC is holding him back and Dana keeps giving vague answers when asked about it. The whole thing is odd and just doesn't make any sense.

Sad that Connor is ending his career with big talk followed by by a wimper. Pathetic.

Plenty of reasons:

(1) McGregor will fight Chandler: he has been begging the UFC to set the date for a long time. He keeps doing interviews saying UFC won't make the fight set yet.

(2) McGregor will destroy Chandler: he's faster, stronger, more agile, better grappler, and a far better striker. McGregor at 50% beats Chandler. Eddie Alvarez is better than Chandler in almost every sense and McGregor put on a -800 show against him.

Holy shit fuck off already,haha

End of the YEAR!

Lmao this is the song that never ends.

Hopefully someone more committed than myself is keeping track of all the dates this “fight” has been intended on happening. By now it’s become mythical.

Conor's going to wait for his contract to expire and then he's going to box a 50 year old Pacquiao in Saudi Arabia for like 50 million. Sorry Mike. Sorry Dana.

Dana should tell us why they can't make this fight happen.
Because Conor has addictions that are more important to him than anything else right now. How EXACTLY is the UFC (Dana) supposed to “make this fight happen “?

Eyeing the end of the year/fall? The fight has been milked beyond need -- it should happen in March or whenever McGregor's 6 months of being in the testing pool are up.

It’s about Conor’s contract. He still hasn’t signed another deal which is very telling. Before they let him fight he’d have to sign another deal

I remember McGregor saying something along the lines of "this is the beginning of my fighting season, 3 fights per year fully locked in"...around 2020.

This is Dana's way of saying that he has absolutely no control over Conor

Love Chandler, but he's not a big enough of a name for Conor

Okay, so why hasn't he signed to fight Chandler? We're going on nearly two years now.
You realize Weidman and Silva were both gone for over 2 years right after the same injury?

You also realize Silva came back too soon and tested positive for banned substance on his return fight against Diaz?

I know how anxious the world is for his return so it seems longer but it hasn’t been, he’s just a much bigger star than Weidman and Silva so it seems that way.
