Elon Musk Agrees to $44b Deal for Twitter

LOL

I'm not the one in here everyday, posting gossip...tweets(lol) over a man who owns a platform I don't even use or care about.

Any more hot scoops on Elon? You should probably spend all night scouring Twitter for some more juicy gossip. That's what Elon would want you to do.

Dork.

please enjoy this classic hot scoop from my favorite president

'Complete and total fraud': Alex Jones turns on Elon Musk after he's 'massively censored'

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones lashed out at Elon Musk, the owner of X, and claimed he had been "massively censored" by the billionaire's social media platform.

On his Monday InfoWars program, Jones said that he had important news.

"But we're not sure if Elon Musk is behind this or if it's ghost of the machine, employees and people that, after he goes by and see something happening and freeze it up," he explained. "They come back and incrementally put the shadow-banning systems in place."

"[Infowars] put out one article that just a hundred percent proves in this one area, InfoWars is being massively censored on X, formerly Twitter," he asserted. "This is being blocked because now, when Elon Musk took back over or took it over, what was it a year plus ago? He said he would bring freedom, you know, back."

Despite recently forging an "alliance" with Musk, Jones complained about being unable to access all of X's features.

"I'm calling this... algorithmic shadow-banning or algorithmic throttled shadow-banning where it's done a lot of different ways, but it's definitely going on," he opined. "And so I think we're at the stage here of finding how bad the manipulation is on X, which, you know, it's total on the other platforms."

"We need to have a discussion about that and find out why that is and what changes have been made, or is he doing what Google did 25 years ago where they're open and free at first could get everybody on the platform, and it works so great, and it's so wonderful," he added. "Then over time, they start bringing in controls until now it's a complete and total fraud."

"I mean, is that all he was doing, was buying it?"

let them fight

Saw this last night. I guess all the bugs have not been worked out.

Hey, Elon Musk, You May Have a ‘Deep State’ Problem

A lot of conservatives are still detecting a serious problem at X.

The New York Times raised questions about President Joe Biden’s mental fitness after the bombshell special report explaining why there would be no criminal charges against Biden for unlawful possession of documents. Special counsel Robert Hur wrote, “Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview with him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
This Times coverage about Biden’s mental fitness prompted former New York Times public editor Margaret Sullivan to write:
“Is there no one at these major outlets who is capable of taking a step back and exercising some judgment?
“How about a note from New York Times publisher A.G. Sulzberger to two key people who report to him directly — the opinion editor and the top newsroom editor — that goes something like this: ‘Katie and Joe, I’m concerned that we’re going overboard with both coverage and commentary about Biden’s age. Let’s keep this in better perspective and tone it down.’ Believe me, those two sentences would make a world of difference.”
In other words, note to the legacy media, particularly to the influential New York Times, “Back off! Circle the wagons!”
This elevates the importance of outlets like the Elon Musk-owned X, formerly known as Twitter. Musk uncovered the extent to which Twitter suppressed posts of conservatives, suppressed posts questioning the then-conventional wisdom of the COVID vaccine, masking and shutdowns, and even briefly shut down the New York Post’s account for its reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop story.
When Musk bought Twitter, things changed immediately. Conservatives saw a quick and substantial uptick in followers. But, since then, many conservatives say they experience pre-Musk sluggish growth. So, I recently posted on X the following:
“Dear @elonmusk,
“I can’t be the only one? I believe conservatives are STILL being suppressed — and that new followers are only painstakingly added — because of the anti-conservative, anti-Trump hostility of your deep state Twitter employees. This is a shout out to other conservatives/libertarians on your platform, please tell me if you’ve ALSO experienced the same sluggish growth in new followers, a stark contrast from what happened when Musk first took over when I — and many other conservatives — had an explosion of new followers. Please comment!”
The comments were fast and furious:
— “I think people are afraid Big Brother is watching.”
— “Larry is correct, @elonmusk. #throttled.”
— ” I agree, my new followers have slowed down. I was sent a message that my tweets would be made less visible because of the content I was posting. Twitter felt I was trying to manipulate others. I asked for a review, but no response — nothing has changed.”
— “I agree. Mine have slowed down, lost followers, etc.”
— “Yeah, I assume that there is a slew of typical San Franciscans still working at X and doing what they can to sabotage conservatives every way they can.”
— “I’ve had a surge in followers, but they’ve suspended me from following back 3 days and some limitations on what I can like. I got tired of this during the last election and closed my account and came back thinking things were fixed. They said it’s an algorithm issue.”
— “Looks like Mr. Musk needs to clean house again!”
— “Dead right. Elon still has some house cleaning to do — and it won’t happen with the current commie CEO.” (This refers to the hiring of former NBCUniversal advertising chief Linda Yaccarino.)
— “Yep. As soon as he put that liberal woman in charge, it went almost right back to what it was pre-Elon.”;
— “Been saying this for quite a while now… it’s pretty obvious at times…”"

I still don't know a single person in real life who has complained about twitter, yet the media would have you thinking it has turned into a steaming pile of shit.
Tell that to those whiny conservative fat heads who are doing all the complaining.

After claiming that he would rid Twitter of bots, the majority of traffic on Elon's platform is now from bots.

76% of Twitter impressions during the Superbowl were from bots.

For people who won't bother to read the article, the average on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram is 2% at any given time.

Also, it's not clear whether this is due to incompetence from firing the people who were in charge of reducing bot traffic or if this is by design to juice impressions to try and lure back advertisers.

Mr. Beast said that he thought the stats on the video that he debuted on Twitter were bullshit after he rejected Elon's offer for partnership.

This article says 76% of Twitter activity are bots, but only 2.56% for Tiktok, 2.01% for Facebook and 0.73% for Instagram.

I call complete bullshit on those figures.

Also Mashable has a very left leaning bias according to this rating site.

It didn't say that 75% of overall activity is from bots.

It said that it was that high specifically during the Superbowl.

I don't give a fuck what Mashable's partisan rating is.

I actually use Twitter during big events, and I've seen firsthand that bots are out of control now.

When I make a post these days, I get responses from crypto bots or porn bots saying "pussy/ass in bio."

Anybody who actually uses the platform will tell you the same.

Twitter is better now that it has been purged from far-left, fascist radicals and government intervention blocking free speech.

Elon needs to buy Canada next. That country is going downhill fast.

Just so we're perfectly clear, you're saying free speech is compelling a private company to platform you?

I rarely use Twitter these days, but every time I comment at least one bot follows me. That never used to be the case.

Free speech is allowing all sides to speak, not just the fascist left. Tribalism is human nature, it's the responsibility of a given platform to make it level. Either we all can cancel each other and be racist against each other or no one can. There is a free pass by the left to promote a war on white males. Hiring managers told not to hire whites in the top 500 companies. In a job I work at the don't want whites in any presentations. Starbucks fired a manager for being white. Fascism and racism are ok as long as it comes from the left. Now....any platform should either treat it equally and say the right can do the same or stop both from doing it. The left want their cake and eat it too.

You failed to answer my question, but your word salad implies you're a yes.

You also demonstrated how little you understand free speech.

Oh yeah I have the same experience. I have dozens of random hot women following me on Twitter even tho I rarely post anything and mostly use it for news and memes.
