Poor eastern bloc countries have high homicide rates, but much lower rates of assault, rape, and theft than heterogenous countries like France and U.K.

I definitely disagree with the notion that homogeneity is the primary factor in low crime countries, but I do think it indirectly lowers crime by increasing social cohesion.

Liberal or conservatives interpretations of Islam are effectively of similar religiosity. There's absolutely no argument that a country like Saudi Arabia is somehow more religious than Malaysia. Every religious country picks and chooses what aspects of their faith they emphasize and downplay.
