And to be fair I had serious doubts of O'malley mental and physical toughness but then he goes to war with Petr on the feet and gets rocked, gets up and guts out a win. He redeemed himself bigtime on that one so to me skill for skill O'malley should beat Chito..

However Chito is tough as hell and he doesn't just go in like a caveman.. He's very patient sometimes too patient but that will make it tough for O'malley who likes to counter..

I'm leaning O'malley decision but something tells me Chito's toughness and power will show up late in the fight and make it very interesting

I wouldn't say it's a fluke when O'Malley's injury was a direct result of Chito's attack. It's not like he took a bad step and fucked up his knee or ankle. Was a damaging kick.

It’s the Peroneal nerve. More or less the funny bone of the knee. It causes a temporary condition called foot drop.

Well having a dead leg will both physically and mentally hinder every part of your game. Including your ability to grapple effectively. And the fight likely would't be there if the leg wasn't dead. But Chito caused it with a kick, so....

I’ve watched that fight a couple times, never saw how he injured his leg/ankle.

Anyone know what it was cause it looks like it happened before he rolled it.

There is a leg kick and a few seconds later he tries to step on that foot and it folds.
