International Its official! Sweden is as of now the 32nd member of NATO.

Because I'm pointing out that all large military expansionist powers respond to provocation with violence.
I'd rather say that expansionist powers use violence even without provocation. Putin's invasion is one such case, and he's a soulless fuck who has violated millions of peoples' rights.

Sounds like you're defending it.

Yep. You're definitely defending it.

Nah, you just have nothing other than calling everyone else a Russian asset. This is exactly the kind of anti intellectual rhetoric that is going to cost you guys the presidency in November.

To beat Trump, you have to show how you're smarter than him and that you get the issues. You can't juat bury your heads in the sand and just pretend the issues don't exist.

Huh?

Not sure what you think anti-intellectual means or why you think the election is relevant to an observation that you're defending the invasion.

OK? We're just talking here. This isn't a political strategy session. I'm just a guy, representing myself, who thinks that your support for war is really fucked up. Personally, I think war is bad, and defending Putin's disgusting invasion on the grounds that it's just what countries do, as if he has no agency, is also bad.

You're a mentally ill weirdo who gets obsessed with conspiracy theories about other posters.

Get help.

What do you think the conspiracy is? Or do you not know what the word means?

Despite being told dozens of times that I don't support the invasion of Ukraine and despite the fact I challenged you to find posts where I did (you dicktucked), you still cling to the conspiracy theory that anyone who has a better understanding of the Russia/Ukraine/USA situation than you do is aome kind of Russian shill.

All the stuff I have posted is stuff that was OPENLY talked about before the invasion.

Here's Gideon Rose, of foreign affairs magazine outlining the US strategy towards Russia/Ukraine on the far right lunatic STEPHEN COLBERT'S show.

The clip has been pulled from youtube but it's up on Rumble still.

Well about correct about stockholm thing and ability on ground due to lack of personnel, fixable with old conscription system

Zero doubts about sea and air, that they have covered
Sweden has already activated the old conscription system. Although it has to be rebuilt almost from scrap, and it will take time to increase the number of recruits yearly. Everything from uniforms to weapons to army barracks, training areas and the sheer logistic system. Everything was down-scaled (sold off, disposed of or dismantled) after the cold war ended. 50 years worth of heavy fortifications (hundred of years in some places), given up because we would never see that kind of warfare in europe again.

What is left is very modern and very good, but the numbers is just not there for the conflict we see in Ukraine. We will never see the massive army sweden had during the cold war when it was expected to stand alone (or with Finland), but it will grow significantly from the last few years.

But you cannot just call in 10k´s of men for service tomorrow without first building up the infrastructure to house, equip, feed and train the new troops, qualified personnel to lead the troops -the list goes on. It will take time, but it is has begun.

For a while it looked like sweden would hit the 2% defense budget mark 2024 (almost double, up from 2020), but latest number indicate it will not quite reach it this year.

Wait. You just, in this thread, defended the invasion.

"Russian shill" is your invention. You totally just made that up. I think you're just kind of dim and have low morals. You see Russia as being on your side so you'll defend really shitty stuff they do.

Just to be clear here, when NATO expands it does so with the consent of the country joining. When Russia expands it does so without any such consent to put it lightly.

That is a totally fair point. But, for us to act like we don't share some of the fault here is silly with how we rigged the Ukraine Elections and replaced their puppet with ours. Our explansion has gone way beyond what we promised, but as you pointed out Russia is asshole.

Nothing to day about the clip I posted, eh?

You're not as smart as you think you are dude.

I disagree. There was a people's revolution against the Russian puppet because he tried to get in the way of integration with the EU as that's in Russia's interest despite being popular among Ukrainians. After they got rid of him and instituted elections. In the beginning Zelensky wasn't even anti-Russia, he was a centrist populist who had support even in Russian speaking areas.

On the other hand NATO expands only if the countries entering wish to join, otherwise its impossible. To compare a military alliance with actual expansionism in the form of conquest and annexation is a ludicrous false equivalency with all due respect.

this is very common around here. the midwits have only 2 levels:
1. Ukraine is winning!
2. any comment that doesn't boil down to Ukraine is Winning! is automatically made by a russian bot.

you can't discuss shit about the subject here in a serious way.

That guy claims to he some kind of financial guru but he lost a bet to a regular joe on inflation numbers because he's so blinded by partisan hackery. He's a joke but I do enjoy smacking him around once in a while.
