Media Nate Diaz Bashes UFC "Want You To Die Before Freeing You From Contract, Free Conor" - Update: Mcgregor Responds

Francis really the only one that made it happen lol.. Respect to Francis for getting it done lol

Contracts expire after 5 years
There is language where it isn't that straight forward. usually X fights over X years. If you are offered a fight and decline (official offer not just talk) then I believe the time is extended 6 months. If they do not make an official offer in X months then they have to pay you as if you fought.

It wouldn't be fair to have the UFC promoting Fighter X but they never accept a fight and then become a free agent. Promotors like the UFC or WWE spend money building stars and have a reasonable expectation to make some money off of that by having them actually fight. Certainly there have been imbalances in power but Conor is no victim and Nate has made a shit ton in comparison to his actual level of talent as an MMA fighter.

Wow. He looks like shit.

Sounds like they have some backers for a fight outside the UFC.

Contracts expire after 5 years
There is probably more to that expiration date, Conor was out of the sport (not being tested) for over a year, with fights left, that means his contract still expires on the same date? It cant be that easy, as in X years or Y number of fights what happens first, when fighters keep rejecting fights offers, Dana has said he has to offer like 3 fights a year, and/or are injured, Conor doesnt want to fight but he wont leave that easy with fights still on his contract, Ngannou had to wait like extra year with no fights, Conor is fucked for years if he wants to leave.

Paddy Vs Connor will print money.

If Connor wins, he gets another big event

If paddy wins, they have a new star.

They're probably scared of Connor getting crushed by chandler.
You can’t seriously think Paddy would fill Conor’s shoes?

Fought all of his signed fights and his contract reached expiration date, with Conor i think its even easier, he isnt a champion and has no clause adding fights and/or time to his contract, and he is on a good contract, Ngannou had to fight for cheap in order to NOT sign for more fights, Conor will make decent money fighting whoever.
Conor is not bound by the champion's clause, but if the UFC offers him a fight and he refuses, the UFC certainly can and will extend his contract. It is basically the status quo for most signed fighters. I am pretty sure that Conor will also be bound by the matching rights period if he ever does become a free agent too.

The UFC doesn't mind letting guys like Big Frank and Nate walk. They will not be so quick to let Conor go and earn money for himself and others elsewhere.

who cares he's a multi millionaire. maybe the time he has to sit out he can reflect on the current state of his fighting career and hang them up, but i doubt it

This is the theory this guy has. Conor simply wants to finish his contract (which has 2 fights left) and get some boxing fight with the oil money in Saudi Arabia but the UFC wants to screw him up. Makes sense, thoughts?

Wow MMA Joey actually made a good video for once.

Conor used all the icing frosting
He had a fight and the TUF show with Chandler lined up

Francis really the only one that made it happen lol.. Respect to Francis for getting it done lol

Conor made 10 times what Francis made for a sparring match… without the brain damage
Conor won even with being still stuck in the UFC, I’m sad to say lol

No one has the balls to ask Dana about the Conor situation. He's pretending like Conor is the hold up. Conor is saying the UFC is the hold up.

Dana just deflects lol he was asked recently and said something like "Hey Conor makes a lot of money! Would you still be doing your job if you had a ton of money?" totally ignoring that guys like Canelo & Anthony Joshua are still fighting and making even more money than Conor lol.
