That might be my least favorite MMA related comment I've read this month. That's entirely too plausible.
 
I doubt even Poirier and his accountant are clamouring for a fight like this, what a load of shit
 
Connor who? When's the last time he won a fight? Oh yeah that's right more than 4 years ago against a guy who was chaining up concussions every few weeks.
 
This is a back and forth situation where the UFC wants him to sign a new deal, milk him and dump him. And Mcg knows that so he's lobbying for an easy fight but once he's done he'll be going to the Saudis for the oil money; which the UFC won't do so for the reason I've mentioned, so they just keep him on ice, wasting his last active years.

Just give him chandler/Dustin 4 and let tjr guy get ko in boxing for Saudi money. He's irrelevant ar this point.
 
They could ride the 1:1 and injury story.
Doubt Conor wants that smoke again though.

He looks damaged from addictions. Talks way too much about alcohol in his interviews.

* Aug2023 - he said he'd fight Chandler in December...yet he didn't enter USADA testing pool until October, and they require 6 months (and they were still in as til Jan 1st 2024)

How many fights would he have lost if he had been active after losing to khabib? He barely got past nate Diaz. Dustin finished him twice. He beat up a broken cowboy. He is not amongst the elite at lw. Inactivity saved his reputation allowing him to use his name to make money in other ways. Im happy for the man his is indeed one lucky Irish . he definitely earned his life of luxury
