Anyone got one at home? I finally got the wall cable station to add to the rest and thats about a full gym for me. Beats paying dues to go somewhere as i did at golds for decades. Rooms pretty full tho and I got a movie theater in another bedroom so rowing machine is downstairs. Probly got less than a grand in all this. Even got a huge mirror behind the smith machine that the former owners left. Just stopped drinking for awhile cause levels are up so this month Im just gonna fucking slam it. I got 140 dollars worth of supplements coming too......................ONE DAY ILL BENCH THE 275 BY GAWD UH UH:)

I do. Nothing beats waking up for 20 minutes and walking out to the garage to lift. I can workout with my shirt off, make stupid faces and noises and it doesnt bother anyone. Plus I dont have to wait for any machines.

The only thing that sucks is my garage doesnt have a bunch of big booty latinas showing off everywhere. You also gotta be careful using more weight then your comfortable with.

Can't work out at home.

I wind up quitting way too early and there's no chicks to stare at between sets.

Garage gym with the essentials. Basically squat rack with free weights, flat bench and a single pulley attachment. Just one power bar and a SSB. Also got 2 sets of dumbbells. Powerblocks up to 90 lbs to Ironmasters up to 120 lbs. Downstairs bedroom has a treadmill and Rogue Echo Bike. It's been a while since I bought any new equipment. With all that I still probably work out more often at my work gym due to the convenience. Also my wife just got a multi-gym membership through Active&Fit Direct that's through our healthcare coverage. It's like $28/month. So she has access to many of the gyms near us and elsewhere as needed. I have an old basically lifetime 24-hour fitness membership that I pay like $36 per year. I rarely use it, especially since the closest location shutdown during COVID, but there's no way I can cancel it since it's so damn cheap. I work on a military base so I can use their gyms. They have a main gym, a covered outdoor crossfit type gym, another gym at one of the nose docks and a small gym in the hospital that I use 4-5x per week.

I do.

After 12 shoulder surgeries my current set up is a few eye hook things drilled into the wood beams in my basement and I connect the resistance bands to it. I have a few different spots where the bands can hook up to which function as lat pull down, low row, cable Crossover, triceps push down, then I stand on the bands for squats, curls and I have a few dumbells for lateral raises or dumbell curls.

Best part is that the bands can go away and there is no big bulky equipment in the way, so the same space functions as a bar or music rehearsal studio.

Yup.

Bench with squat rack
Variety of bars,plates
Chinning/dip/leg up station
Punch bag
Mats
Treadmill
Kettle bells
Grips
Wrist rollers
Bands
Tractor tyres x 2 in garden
Dragging sled
Bike roller

Plus loads of boxing/striking gear .

What bands do you suggest , I had some that physical therapy gave me and I snapped them

Got a power rack, bench, a good rouge bar, a bunch of iron weights, a few bumper plates and a few assorted accessories. Basic but all you need to workout everything

Pull up bar, bench, dumbbells and pushup handles. And exercise bike. All I need these days

Ill tell ya brotha shoulders are a pain. I pulled a ligament in my right in a car wreck and now my left is hurting so bad I cant even sleep on it. May be the rotator cuff bursitis hell if I know. I mentioned in the first post I got a new wall mount cable station. Well I may have injured it on it cause I can do more exercises on it that my high and low pulleys on the smith machine.

Got some loose weights in a corner that I look at here and there, so I’m included too, right?
Suck it up bro YOU NEED TO BENCH THA 275......................Like everyone else on here.
Sheeit Ive only done 280 once in my life and work out with less than 100 on bench now and thats on the smith machine. Dont really need to lift heavy once you have the mass. Chest size dropped from 48 to 45 but Im fine with that. Atleast girls dont push me around anymore or make me move outta their seats at the lunchroom.

lol I feel ya. Trying to get in better shape in your 40s is rough but I’m trying. Got the “new year, no relationship, new me” thing happening so it’s getting there. No home gym for me though. I have to go and see a trainer if I want to whip myself back into shape.

Keep crushing it, dude!

I couldn't find the order in my Amazon but this style of band is what I use

I have broken a few, and I think it didn't help that they had been exposed to extreme temperatures in either garage or truck bed

The round tube style ones like these are what I like with the clips that can hook to handles like you would have in the gym

I have also used the flat ones that you can tie in knots, I don't like those, those break way to easy.

Hope that helps sir.

Go EASY.

Low weight, high reps, don't push thru the burn.

- be careful in any position where your hands are above shoulder level, so incline press, military press, etc. I dropped all that shit and just do very deliberate lateral raises and prior to my most recent injury, had excellent results keeping delts strong that way.

I hope you feel better sir.
Shoulder pain is no fun

Yes man thanks. I’m about 7 years post rotator cuff surgery and have gone through every sort of physical therapy/ rehab type things since. Those resistance bands I haven’t touched in years because they always broke even at toughest color.
Youre right that temperature makes them disintegrate
I will give the ones you use a try ! Thanks

Well what it was is doing cable lat raises too high and facing cable front raises. I never did these on my smith machine because it just has high and low pulleys. This new machine I can raise it to wherever I want the grips to be.
I was taking tylenol 8 hour pills but I heard it can damage your liver and I already have high enzymes from getting drunk and falling down my stairs...............I swear them motherfuckers move when I walk on them grrrrrr.
Kinda weird my ligament in the other shoulder was already tore in half in that wreck and it never hurts.

I am a trainer been doing this since I left Nissan and moved to Miami. Made a fuckin boatload there and in Daytona training people. I kept my rates low and more people would hire me. Now I have my own gym and they dont even hafta pay dues at another one.
