Just turned 38....... is my life over now?

Naah Man...You have plenty of good years ahead of you. If you workout recovery is a little harder to deal with and you will ache more and truly as every year passes you will give less and less fucks...You'll also learn to despise most of social media.

There's a common quote of "40 is old if your unsuccessful" which is harsh but kind of true. The people I know in there 40s that are successful (mature, good career, good diet/workouts, good friends, fun hobbies) literally none of them ever complain about being old. They're mentally healthier/have a better grasp of who they are and physically have better access to nutrition/workouts than when they where teenagers.

The 40-year-olds with shit careers, no hobbies, poor exercise/health (or worst years of overtraining), and failed relationships? Yeah, they all look, talk, and move like an old person.
You got me with all those negative facts, except, looking, talking, and moving like an 80 year old. I knew I never wanted to be old or go passed 51 if I didn't have children etc. No problem. I never have or will fear death. Should've happened several times before.

I used to think that way until I met my wife sir.

me reading this at 20, feeling like a walking infant, if it makes you feel better OP, i am college aged and don't party. so you are "living it up" more than I
I have been on this forum since you were a toddler. Man, I am old.

Your ability to feel good without effort or concern for your own well being is over.

Staying and looking fit, able and healthy after 38 is certainly doable but only if you look after yourself.
