There are people who BUY INTO celebrity / pro wrestler logic. (cm punk)
There are people who BUY INTO martial arts logic. (Demetrius)
UFC promotes toward one logic while using the other as a structure.
One clearly takes parents money (kids watching wrestling) as more valuable than,
adult hardcore fans. Same as any ART (or sport), hardcore users are often the most broke.
People buy flyweight fights, and had they promoted MightMouse better, he would be a bigger star.
The issue, is more people buy pro wrestling & celebrity bullshit, because they are casuals at life.
UFC promotes to casuals, confirmed.
Around Brock Lesnar, and then CM Punk, the real martial arts fans checked out on PAYING for UFC.
The ufc does not care because they promote to people who are not martial arts fans,
they are casual fans of anything. They hand over money based on personalities & fitting to team thinking in advertising / doublethink / doublespeak.
Real fans support amateur events, gyms, locals, the culture.
Casuals ... buy products advertised.
Demetrius being flyweight has nothing to do with it.
The UFC promotes heavyweight knockouts to casuals, pro-wrestlers turned MMA fighters to casuals, and blaming fighters for their weightclass is absurd.
UFC IS THE PROMOTIONAL SIDE.
It is not on the fighters to make instagram followers. The UFC can purchase bots like every other influencer does. Every rap kid does. Every Dj does. Every single 10k+ account on instagram has purchased followers. It is not hidden at all.
UFC did Demetrius dirty (for whatever reason). Yes flyweights had less finishes, but the action was far better than over-weight guys gassing round 1 and taking the bout to decisions.
All the UFC had to do, was market the flyweights for "the real hardcore mma fans",
and the casuals would have bought that shit up. FOMO in social advertising is 90% of the goal.
Whether it is a big event, or a one-time deal, or a discount savings of $1.00 off a bag of chips.
FOMO comes to those with weak minds, desires for attention, no understanding of self esteem.
Easier to buy into other ideas, rather than admitting casual.
Confirmed.
