I would pick him to win if not for the achilles injury. He has a good style for Pereira with his length, power, speed and straight punches. But that injury is a concern, especially against the best legkicker in the game atm.

Personally I just can't get past his ruptured Achilles that happened in the middle of July last year. Typically that takes anywhere from 8-12 months or longer to be fully healed. Add in what Alex did to Jiri with just 2-3 leg kicks and it doesn't look good for Hill. I think he was rushed back by the UFC.

I believe that you are absolutely correct In your assessment and that scares the crap out of me (rushing Hill back). Sounds like something the UFC would do, especially given that they were in dire need of a main event. Damn, I hate when the UFC does that kind of stuff, really bugs me. I was picking Hill but now I don't know.

Jamahal Hill has VERY good hands and very crisp boxing. He has above average hand speed, decent footwork and composure in the pocket.

He is not lacking confidence.

His entire issue is he isn’t very charismatic, acts like he has a chip on his shoulder, doesn’t really have star power and comes across as unlikable. He’s a good fighter though and I could see him beating Alex easily.

Brother from experience coming off an Achilles tear is no fun game. I see a lot of these post but nobody mention a major injury. To be fairness I tear mine carrying my dog but recovering is no joke but all I see is post that say Alex getting KOd
