Neither has Mike Goldberg, Joe have known Dana for over 20 years now, he probably believes all the BS he tells him so to him Ariel is a douche bag.

He doesn't really hate him, but he's a business man.

Helwani threatens his business as a promoter, essentially making him lose money.

Hate is a strong word, deep down I think Dana respects him.

He always loves guys who talk shit and pish against the grain. Literally, those are always his guys.

think that's largely the reason why he gave helwani so much clout to begin with.

In that game, I don't think anything is really personal. Unless it's Dana vs tito.

People forget, at one point Dana WAS that guy.

He started as a manager, talking shit and pushing against the powers that be.

That's why he likes all those types. He is that guy. All those east coast types who don't give a fuck and just speak what's on their mind, he's put a lot of them on.


Dana is a colossal hypocrite. But
But, at the end of the day it's about business.

He probably has a million people in his ear as well, making sure he takes helwani down. But deep down, he probably respects him more than most.

He puts business and money over such things though.

I watched a few of the tufs involving Roy Nelson.

You can tell he genuinely likes the dude on a personal level, but every chance he gets, he just talks a ridiculous amount of shit about him.


This is all business.

Roy is a fat pudgy dude, when he wins, it almost undoes the work he's tried to do, in terms of making UFC looking like a legit sport.

In his mind.

So yea, bro is about his business. Everything he does is all business. It's not personal.


On that note, I think the fighters who recognized that have done better than most.

Others are left with a sour taste in their mouths and you can tell, it's affected their performance.

Has Goldberg ever been invited? they worked together for two frigging decades. People would love to have him interviewed , to see why he was fired etc.

Someone said it was a pill addiction or something, I’m starting to think so too with now quiet the UFC and Joe have been regarding his departure.
