Is the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Really Big Enough For UFC 300?

The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will host UFC 300, and will probably hold around 20,000.

This seems quirky and odd, considering this basically a once-in-a-decade supercard akin to Wrestlemania, only a much rarer event.

When the UFC has gone Down Under, to Brazil, or even up to Canada for special events, they've had crowds more than double this size.

What do you think the highest attendance the UFC could get in the USA, and why aren't they pushing for a huge audience?

Yeah whenever I think big fights I usually think Vegas or Madison Square Garden

I remember when I was a kid hearing how special MSG was, and in my little imagination it was this mega stadium lmao

I think T mobile arena is too big for MMA fights. It’s good for UFC more ticket sales, but it’s awful in person. I actually liked UFC better at MGM and Mandalay Bay because 12,000 was a perfect crowd. Not a bad seat. With 20,000 now they sell old $50 nosebleeds for $500 bucks! Higher price and horrible view. But that said I expect 300 to have a good attendance. It should be packed for the prelims.

UFC 200 was held in the T-Mobile arena. 100 was held in an arena with 12k capacity. Vegas is home for them.

T-mobile, little Caesars arena (detriot) and bell center (Montreal) are actually really awesome Venues to watch from nosebleeds. The design is basically the higher up you are the more over the top the playing surface you are. Opposed to Madison Square garden or ACC / Scotia Bank Arena (toronto) where the higher up you are the further back you feel.

Agree the pricing still isn't worth it but the arena themselves are designed not to have a bad seat

Where should they have held the event? They've got Allegiant in Vegas now with a 65K capacity

65,000?!

Immense!

I don't know really I'm just asking the question - I figured they might try to go for something close to an indoor arena record for the UFC to mark the occasion, but as others have said, the UFC might not really suit huge arenas - the cage is kinda small, and the UFC don't go for the 'big show' feel in terms of visuals.

Canelo is most likely fighting there in September.

Either way, either him or Gervonta Davis will break the Allegiant combat sports event virginity.

I used to go to 3-4 events per year but they just aren’t the same . Too much downtime (7 hour event for 12 fights) it’s not comfortable sitting in a hard chair wity binoculars with $15 beers and $27 hot dogs.
27 for a hot dog, surely that's an exaggeration...? Unless they're UFC branded, ofc.
