Idk about epic, Kendrick was the only one who could actually write well in this whole beef. Would have preferred if it was J Cole or something. I don't like J Cole, but he can write better than Drake at least
Music ultimately comes down to personal taste. Kanye made three good albums at the start of his career, and I haven't really heard much else that's good since. I don't really start liking Kendrick's music until TPAB, but IMO TPAB and Mr. Morale beat out Kanye's first three albums in terms of...
I thought it was a close fight and a fair decision. IMO aggression isn't meaningful unless you're controlling the space effectively, and I didn't see Akimoto really start taking control of the space and pace of the fight until round three. First round was clear for Wei, second round was much...
I agree. I find rankings tend to reward a point-based style more and can lead to fights with excessive stalling, where a tournament encourages competitors to finish fights faster and not take too much damage in the process. The result is usually a sort of tactical aggression (or complete...
Based on what I could find, the last bonafide S Cup was the 2018 event. They held a women's S cup tournament in 2019, as well as a Young Caesars Cup (I presume that was for the youth or maybe young pros). Ever since then, they have been prioritizing the promotion/league based format that most...
You have two fighters: Fighter A only does striking and competes with some of the best strikers in the world. Fighter B spends half of their time on striking, and competes against competent but not great strikers. Who do you think will win in a striking match? Try thinking before writing your...
You're using a Kickboxer beating a Muay Thai fighter in a Kickboxing fight as evidence that a MMA fighter could beat a Muay Thai fighter in a Muay Thai fight -- that's a pretty stupid line of thinking. Also, do you think Gabriel Varga is the first person to formulate strategies to beat the Thai...
Stoked for this card, plenty of good matchups. I think Chico is going to bring a harder fight than many seem to think, but still I can see Endy getting a stoppage in the later rounds or the UD. Lots of question marks with Sacko and Boughanem since (afaik) neither of them have fought under...
I had a feeling he would sign with ONE! Have they said what weight he is doing? He hasn't fought under 150lbs since 2022, but IMO he is way too small to contend with the likes of Marat, Superbon, Chingiz, etc. Would love to see him fight Petchtanong, or hell let him get a crack at Haggerty's KB...
I've been playing around with kicking the wrist in my sparring since I watched that and I've found it to be very effective! I'm a Kickboxer, so I end up working with pressure fighters who keep a tight high guard pretty often. It's perfect for when they attempt to move in with hooks and shift...
As a general rule of thumb, you can safely assume that an MMA fighter would lose to a Muay Thai fighter or Kickboxer in a striking context -- of course, the roles are reversed if you put the strikers in an MMA context. This logic should take care of basically all 'MMA guy vs MT/KB guy' questions.
I am guessing it's just a stay-busy fight so he can be ready to jump in to replace Haggerty or Superlek in the event one of them gets injured prior to their matchup. But yeah, definitely a weak fight.
The "GOAT" MMA striker being a guy whose style disregards most ideas on technique and acquired the majority of his credentials in another sport is fitting. Pereira for MMA striking GOAT
Yep, I think Endy would finish him or pick him apart. To be clear, I don't think Regian is a bad fighter by any means, I've just never seen him match the hype he has always had. I could see him in Glory's top five or top ten at WW for sure
