It's the last fight to sort out the 205 title mess. Ank was on the receiving end of a dodgy draw, in which he dominated the end of the fight, for the belt and hasn't lost since.

Hasn't lost in 12 fights.

The title picture doesn't feel fully resolved until Ank gets his deserved second crack at it.

Who are the fighters who have the wrestling Ank possesses? Pretty much all the top MWs and LHWs would be classified as strikers if people don't even consider Jan as a grappler.

Ank has good striking and probably the best wrestling at LHW right now.
He is clearly no Islam, but LHW sucks when it comes to wrestling these days, like you said.

Ankalaev is a bad matchup for Alex, he's safe and defensively sound on the feet and possesses good wrestling. The odds should be relatively close on this one but favoring Alex by a small margin since Ankalaev seems to only wrestle when absolutely necessary. A big advantage Alex would have is the leg kicks considering how successful Jan was with them.

Aspinall is a more dangerous fight for Jones in every single regard

Ank does have good striking and the best wrestling. I just have no faith in him fighting smart to win fights. He could be a long reigning champion if he puts it all together mentally. I'd like to see him get this fight. We can see who the best LHW is.

But yeah if people aren't considering Jan as a grappler there's maybe like 6 or 7 total ranked MW's and LHW's you could qualify as a wrestler. It's a small list.
