Torchys started as a little food truck in Austin. I've seen it grow, and the bigger it's got the quality has gone down obviously.
But not a drastic amount. They're like fancy white people tacos. Lots of color and ingredients. And to be fair, they are big tacos. It's not anything like an authentic Mexican taco. There's a lot of places like that down here. Taco Deli, Tysons Tacos, Torchys.
And then there's tons of actual authentic tacos too. They're not really comparable. Sometimes I'm down to go eat the silly overpriced white people tacos. It's not terrible and you'll probably enjoy what you order. Their green chili queso is quite good. Having said that, I haven't been there in years and they're all over the place. So IMO not worth waiting in any crazy lines.
