Arman: Islam wants me on short notice to have an advantage. When was the last time Islam fought 2x in 6 weeks?

Islam was so against it he...

Still insisted on fighting June 1 instead of any of the cards a few weeks later.
Funny thing is both Arman and Charles were asked why they took the fight against one another, when they were supposed to fight for the title next, they said they have no idea when isislam is going to fight, he is injured and they can’t sit out and wait, be inactive for that long.
Right when UFC 300 was around the corner, the camp suddenly wanted to get a fight. And now we are supposed to believe it is all just a coincidence and timelines. I can’t be this dishonest, if someone else is comfortable with lying like that, then it is their problem.

What are you referring to in terms to Oliveira? He never had to do a quick turnaround in regards to either scheduled fight vs Islam.

Oliveira beat Gaethje in less than a round and was booked to fight vs Islam 5+ months later.

Then for the rematch Oliveira beat Dariush in less than a round and was booked to fight Islam 4+ months later.

"Tough fights" Huh? Maybe on paper but Oliveira barely got hit in those fights.

Nah 4 month turnaround for a championship level fight is fucking crazy dude

Lol the sherdog blue faced surprised emoji is virtually identical to islams expression in this pic
Blasphemy!!!

Charles and Dustin both also had to turn around much sooner than Islam, after having to have tough fights first.

All to fit Islam's schedule of Abu Dhabi and June 1 respectively.

No one's saying it's not smart to fight when you have an advantage, but pretending like that's not what Islam does is ridiculous and dishonest by his fans.
So Islam knew Charles would pull out and Volk would step in on short notice?

The whole Islame Title Reign situation is so fk up if you look deeper into it....

1. Gets TS with one Top5 win in Hooker

2. Before his TS in AD Charles was begging the UFC to fight a few months later against Islame because the AD fight 2022 was his 4th title fight in 17 months! That means every 4,1 months in average he had a title fight. The poor dude was jumping from one fight camp into the next for 2 years and just wanted a short break of 2-3 extra months.

3. After winning the fight he called out Volk and gave him a super close date so that Volk would not have enough time to bulk up propperly and with that he basically fought a featherweight with no weightcut for his first TD

4. After the Volk fight Islame knew that his next fight would be in 8 months in AD and he knew his next challenger would be either Charles or Beneil, so he had +8 months to recover 100% from all injuries, study both possibilities and get into a perfectly prepared fght camp. Well, while Charles or Beneil (turned out to be Charles) had only 4 months between their fight and AD BUT THE VERY BEST was that they announced the fight only at the end of July, giving the new challenger 2,5 months to prepare while Islame had, as written above, full 8 months for all.

5. During AD2023 he chose Volk, who just a month prior came from surgery, who was not training and nothing, over the nominated Gamrot.

6. He refused to fight before Ramadan after the UFC offered him a fight (also a TS for UFC300 but well let that slip as he is some kind of religous fanat) and said he is injured only to then come up with a potential june fight after all his possible challengers got matched against each other.

7. He asked for one of the challengers who just won to fight him within 6weeks while he was preparing since last year November for a potential fight.

Yeah that's shady. When's the last time Islam fought an actual LW?

Trying to pull this stunt tells me he's worried about the Arman rematch

Omg, you must be a real hater or a xenophobic to bring these facts up. This camp can’t be criticized like that, only clazing and praise allowed.

Woodley did similar to Maia and won. Islam mainly lucky in the timing. UFC has not staggered the contenders timing well and previous injured opponents which was taken advantage. Arman should wait. Islam is going to be tough on a full camp. He has time. Maia had little choice on Woodley with his clock ticking was use it or lose it. Arman should have finished Charles quicKly;)

Islam is the champ and that comes with some advantages. Always has.

Some people want to be great. They strive for the top and have a belief in themselves that nothing can stop them. And then there's Arman. He himself said his last fight was easy, no problem. One of the judges even apologized to him, lol. But now he wants to cry about "short notice" when being given a chance at greatness? He's seriously turning down an opportunity to prove he's the best? A chance to back up all his talk?

He's the challenger. He doesn't get to dictate the terms. He needs to beat Islam before he earns that right.

why has this not been made into an emoji yet? I can't think of a more deserving reaction shot.
maybe its too low quality of a pic.

on topic, i think Islam would like to fight more often but the UFC doesnt book him as often has he would like. so the perception is that Islam isnt active enough.

I swear MMA is turning to boxing with all you guys bathtubbers saying its normal for champs to have advantages.

Isislam already has hometown advantage, fighting in Islamic countries where 90 percent of the population root for him, and now he also wanted Arman to take a short notice fight like Arman did before.

He knows Arman is his biggest challenge, short notice Arman gave him his toughest fight. Just like he knew full camp Volk a smaller man with height and weight disadvantage almost beat him thats why he picked short notice Volk rather than Gamrot fully knowing thats the only way he can decisively beat Volk.

These sentences are in no way compatible with one another.

How is Islam striving to be great, unlike Arman, if he's insisting on only fighting his opponents when they have to do it short notice and after tough fights unlike himself?

Bruh. Just say you don't mind Islam trying to have advantages. No one does, it's obviously smart for him. Doesn't mean you just turn a complete blind eye to its obvious occurence and pretend Islam's playing shit straight.

So Islam knew Charles would pull out and Volk would step in on short notice?
No.

But Islam knew Gamrot was the official backup who'd been training for him and was on weight, meanwhile Volk was coming off a FW fight and not prepped for LW, was post surgery, had10 days notice, and he'd already prepared for and beaten him once before.

It was an obvious strategic choice by Islam. He himself admitted he chose Volk over Gamrot. You think he did that for shits and giggles or something?
