Half of the government investigators got sick in East Palestine Ohio.
Nothing to worry about everything is fine.
*****BREAKING****** Biden finally making good on his promise to visit East Palestine! The residents can now rejoice!
On the one year anniversary of the disaster and saying he would visit them, he is finally making good on his promises. What an amazing guy
Seeing this compilation of KJP and Biden responding to press over the year after the disaster is a great example of the care and respect this admin and uncle Joe have for everyday Americans.
Trump truthed about it.
Why does a President need to show up to a disaster?
Who else do you think is capable of tossing rolls of paper towels to the residents? Why does a President need to show up to a disaster?
Why does a President need to show up to a disaster?
On one hand it sucks due to the amount of work put in by agencies that could be better spend on relief efforts and the focus should be on recovery, and sometimes it turns into political grandstanding...
....on the other hand when you are the leader of anything, and shit goes down, making an appearance to see first hand what the folks doing the hard work are doing is a small morale boost and grounds you in reality, also gives you a better idea as to how good/or bad shit is going.
Its good optics and a noble gesture and the right thing to do. It shows the people that are from that disaster area that people still care, all though I don't think Biden is going to get a warm welcome if he does eventually show. Why does a President need to show up to a disaster?

To slur and ramble and probably fall down again, obviously. Why does a President need to show up to a disaster?
Dude, from your article...ONE YEAR AFTER EAST PALESTINE, SOME SENATE REPUBLICANS “HAVEN’T LOOKED” AT RAIL SAFETY BILL
Meanwhile Republicans work to quietly to kill the rail safety bill drafted in the aftermath of the derailment. Because it's not friendly enough to the giant companies that fill their pockets.
Bbbbut Biden didn't visit soon enough!
"Sen. Ted Cruz, meanwhile, reportedly circulated a letter template to Texas House Republicans over the summer, prodding them to send the letter back to him and fellow Texas Sen. John Cornyn. The template cited corporate-friendly concerns with the bill, accusing it of enabling the government to “discriminate against the movement of American energy products like coal, oil, natural gas, and ethanol.”
South Dakota Sen. John Thune — the No. 2 Senate Republican — has called parts of the bill “very objectionable from the regulatory standpoint.” Thune is a former rail lobbyist who has used his position in politics to weaken rail regulation and has been showered in industry money."
But don't worry, I'm sure they'll all show up at the next disaster they made sure was inevitable.
Dude, from your article...
Hawley, an original co-sponsor of the bill, expressed bewilderment that the Senate hasn’t voted on the bill yet. He said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., who is broadly supportive of Brown’s effort but not a co-sponsor of the bill, is a “key holdout” for not putting the bill to the floor
