he says Adesanya based his strategy on Romero vs Costa and how Romero fought in that fight. if he really thinks Adesanya based his strategy on Romero vs Costa and Israel was betting on Romero fighting aggressively, he either thinks Israel is stupid (which he's not) or he himself didn't pay attention to the fight. Costa was walking Yoel down the entire time and pressuring him. if Adesanya did that, of course Romero would've been more aggressive. Romero is much more of a counter striker than Adesanya is. Adesanya can fight all kinds of ways.

Adesanya has fought aggressively in a lot of his UFC fights, and is a good volume striker. the fight was boring because Adesanya realized in the first rd how sharp Romero's timing and speed was and had to reassess the situation and he chose to fight tactically from the outside. it's on Yoel to make something happen.

I see why Izzy is a favorite and why guys in MMA think Izzy will win. They all refuse to understand the role of genetics and birthright. I think this is proper analysis for boxing or kickboxing or even wrestling. MMA is a primal sport with many paths to victory. Costa is the chosen one and he will find a path. He will take Izzy to the deep waters and drown him there. It will be both shocking and glorious.
