Blaydes!!!!!!

Good for him for taking advantage of the mistake but he didn't look great.

Unlike most, I do enjoy watching Jailton work. His specialist skills reminds me of old school MMA. And there's a lack of quality grapplers at HW for the last decade. Hope he can come back better.

Perfect post match callout. Run it back with Tom and finally get a deserved title shot.

Had the making for an exciting match but damn Almeida ruined it. Thanks you Blaydes.
Hardly deserved, whenever he's been one fight off the title he bottles and gets KOed. Tom just merked the guy who blew through Blaydes in his last fight in a minute flat, I don't like the matchup.

Almeida is too small for HW - that's the type of thing that can happen.

Blaydes beat both unbeaten Tom and Almeida.
Tom beat unbeaten Palvo.
It's HW, everyone loses. It's the match that makes sense.
So what Gane deserves a title shot after demolished by BellyGoat Jones?

That was a great win. Not just the brutality of the finish, but how we completely turned it around at the start of round 2.

Blaydes hardly 'beat' Aspinall. Was a freak Injury 15 seconds into the fight, then he got smashed by the guy who Tom ran through.

Exactly why both need to run it back.
Blaydes won what everyone thought was the next HW champ as well as Tom beating Palvo.

Sergei has done that to everyone but Aspinall lol

Get that short term memory span in order… he doesn’t get Aspinall you silly kids lol. Bro just got lit up by Pav in his last fight and got thrown around by a LHW in the first round until a flurry of shots to the back of the head.

Blaydes vs Gane makes more sense. Aspinall gets a championship caliber fighter next fight.
Back of the head is where your ear is?

Biggest shock of the night so far. I thought guys like him who have proceeding hairlines don't go bald.
No. That's nonsense. I knew an old ass man with a hairline that was like perfect, but he had nothing in the back

These guys should do a reverse transplant. Take some from the front and put it in the back.
That's also my dad. He has a slightly receded hairline but not much, but a big ol baldspot. He'll probably never go totally bald, but yea.

I have ESPN plus and rewatched it a handful of times, 4 of those punches were unquestionably to the back of the head.

I suggest you rewatch it aswell when Rogan interviews Blaydes and they run the slowmo the stoppage

Almeida's standup was always garbage. And if you can't get the better striker down, you're fucked. And those desperation takedowns become more dangerous as well.

I can’t really be happy for him, he was dominated and won off a mistake. He is nowhere near a champ material as he already showed multiple times. And I like him. Don’t know what the hype is for.

"Dominated" is a stretch. He calmly defended any hint of damage or submissions and let Almeida blow his wad. There's a reason Almeida's takedown attempt in round two looked obscenely desperate and sloppy, with him trying to bite Blaydes' ankles, which led to the finish.

That's like saying Brunson was "dominating" Whittaker because he was going all out in an aggressive striking frenzy in round one, which made it appear that he was winning for a stretch, before he got KOd.

It feels out of place when people with proceeding hairlines start to go bald, not something I see often

Just rewatched it, theres maybe 1 strike that seems kind of close, but definitely not 4. You’re seeing things
