BOVADA CHECKS BE BOUNCIN'

Just a heads up for any bovada users, my tree fiddy check from a few weeks ago just bounced after initial approval, so if you recently deposited any checks in your bank, make sure you've got a little buffer to cover whatever you deposited.

They must be low on funds from the super bowl or something. I've never had one bounce before, especially after actually showing up in my account and getting spent.

Update: The first customer service lady hung up on me when I started ranting (no profanity), but the second was helpful. I have to send paperwork proving the overdraw, and they'll reissue a new check (yay) in the standard timeframe of 10-15 biz days (booo)

I don't know what Bovada is and who Calvin Ayre is but this made me laugh.

Don't have an account with them, but always good to have that info out there. I'm sure if it was a rampant problem, people would report them to SBR.

SBR is not trustworthy in the least, and sides with books when they flagrantly robbed gamblers. They're as big of scumbags as anyone else.

This makes me think: if a book does something illegitimate, how would you go about holding them legally responsible? Is it possible to sue them?

There really aren't many options to appeal for help, but SBR can at least bring some public attention to a legit complaint and maybe motivate a book to settle even though they can't force them to.

Yup. I have seen some issues get resolved, and at the very least, and more of what I was alluding to, is if the message board gets wind that Book X doesn't pay up, people remember that. At least a lot of veteran gamblers will get wind of it, not necessarily the casual gambler.

It is.

Just found out that it's new policy by certain banks. Bovada is on the "do not take checks from" list from my bank, so it didnt actually bounce, it's just being returned to me.

Ive depositedbthere checks in years past, habent in a year or so. Must have changed semi recently

Coinbase doesn't allow gambling and may close your account. Use Blockchain inbetween.

Go from Coinbase to a wallet to Bovada, and vice versa. It's safer, easier, and exchanges like Coinbase are notorious for banning accounts that interact with the wallets of known casinos.

(or just use a Chinese exchange that gives NO fucks whatsoever like a good company should...)
