Went down the rabbit hole of boxrec and say the guy from Ghana fights in the US quite often. His most recent fight before the one in this thread took place in Denver, where he lost to this guy:

Evidently they just declared it a technical draw there to avoid violence breaking out at the event. They've already acknowledged that it was a KO. That's what BoxRec recorded it as and they're the official record keeper in the sport (alongside Fight Fax).
