Butch Reed passes away

Mid south veteran Butch Reed has passed away from Heart Failure. Reed was a former 3 time Mid South North American Champion aswell as single reigns with the television and tag titles.

As a kid growing up in Oklahoma, Mid South was my "home" pro wrestling outfit.

I really enjoyed Butch (sometimes Bruce) Reed. He looked like a badass, and he played one to the "T." He was a good enough promo, he was good enough in the ring, and he had good charisma. He'd hitcha with a big ol' Soup Bone!

My first memory of him was Wrestlemania 3. I thought he was a good looking big man and could have had a decent feud with Hogan.
