Prime Ronda is a crazy example of the mental element of MMA. I imagine anyone that faced Ronda was so in their own heads that they defeated themselves long before the fight. In that sense I wouldn't be surprised if Nunes would have gotten beat by Ronda if she fought her before Holm did.

Hard to say, maybe Nunes would have had the confidence going to that fight as well.

It would be really interesting to run back any fight Ronda had now that her mystique is gone.

absolutely not...val is really good on the ground as well...very very hard to take down...is much better standing than holly...she'd wreck ronda, in under 3 minutes....ronda only beats girls with very bad game plans or part time secretaries. and there's no such thing as prime ronda....she was always in her prime...she just finally met someone, in holly, that had a good game plan, from a good camp. they didn't play her game...and the ko'd her stiff....ronda was always a one trick pony.

valentina, who many thought beat nunes...who is 1 to 2 weight divisions heavier....skill wise, valentina is better than nunes...it's only cause nunes is bigger and more powerful. even then, many thought val won.
