Caring for a Leather Heavy Bag

I have got myself a leather heavy bag at home. It is great but I am noticing some really minor wear and tear on the leather. It got me thinking about whether I should be caring for the leather like other leather items. We use dubbin on soccer boots, oils on baseball mitts, etc. Should I be doing something to the bag to extend its life?

Take a look at leather conditioner products for fine men’s shoes.
Specifically, Saphir Renovatur. This stuff works wonders on leather keeping it well conditioned and probably only needs to be used once every 4-5 months. Also, it smells AMAZING!
