I love how Islam haters bring up Volkanovski having success against Islam and diminishing Islam and Volkanovski for his first title defense against a 145lb, Volkanovski isn’t just random 145lber he’s arguably the best fighter on the planet. Volkanovski was always going to be next in line for the LW title after Islam & Charles fought the first time, people are forgetting he weight in at 155lbs as a backup.

Also bringing up Volkanovski & comparing his successful he was in comparison is idiotic.

Islam is going to submit Charles again imo, Islam is stylistically a bad matchup for him. It’s not like Charles hasn’t been submitted before, not sure why so many people thought Islam couldn’t submit him, a 145lber Ricardo Lamas submitted Charles.

Sure, but again Volkanovski isn’t just another 145lber, he’s arguably the best fighter on the planet right now, not sure why people keep downplaying that fact and just keep saying “Islam almost lost to a 145lber, a small guy.” There is a world of difference in context when it comes to saying that. This isn’t a GSP/Serra type of situation.

So it’s not a good look that Volkanovski put up one hell of fight and had a strong finish? To who? The only people that it’s not a good look for is Islams previous opponents like Oliveira who got finished.

Not sure if you’re a Makhachev hater or not, but clearly fans here are never satisfied. If Makhachev went in there and dominated Volkanovski and stopped him, everyone would be hating on Makhachev saying he beat a small 145lber, instead Volkanovski & Makhachev both put up amazing hard fought fight and still people diminish both of them.

just making the point that anything can happen in a fight.
just because islam won the first one does not guarantee he wins the same way again,
two fights are never the same. that is why they have rematches.
it seems the islam fanboi's think that charles has no chance, and i disagree.
