Can't really agree with that nonsense, perhaps decsions but definitely not submissions, submissions can be fight ending outside the ring.

Many people hold the view that you ain't champion material till you defend.

Submissions are (more often) the most legit wins in the game, change my mind.

A submission is basically one fighter telling the other, "I give up, please don't hurt me anymore." I don't know how it gets more definitive than that.
