News Cormier's dad died of cancer.

I'm sure he was nothing short of proud of what D.C has accomplished.

This is his step father, Mr. Benoit.

Cormier's biological father was tragically killed by a relative when DC was 7.

He's suffered a lot of early loss, just brutal.

correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought his dad died in some violent way when he was young? is this not his biological father? either way, my condolences to d.c. was just curious.

Has anyone ever heard DC talk about his dad prior to this? I didn't even know he had a dad still in his life and I have listened to multiple interviews with the guy. I don't even recall Daniel giving a shout out to a father after any of his octagon wins much less seen a dad celebrating in the cage with him.

Let me put it another way... When Chris Weidman's old man passes on, the fact that Chris a) had a dad and b) was very close to him will come as no surprise to me.
 
Lost both of my parents to cancer, my thoughts and prayers are with you DC.
