Media Did Khamzat Chimaev finally bite off more than he could chew?

Who knows. After all, it's a fight in a sandbox, meaning no weigh-ins and PED control for the homeboy. Also, Whitaker is an ex-WW, which figures, as Khamzat prefers to fight lightweights at WW and WWs at MW. On the other side, the fact that there's still time for Whitaker to go through a full camp doesn't bode well for Khamzat.

Khamzat hasn't won yet, but you are already coping... <{danayeah}>

WAR Knuckles... Khamzat needs a slice of humble pie... And a good Ol' Fashioned Ass Whoop-in

Insane you guys saw DDP destroy Whittaker on the ground and think Khamzat can't possibly do the same and worse. Going to be lots of salt here after the fight is over and you have to move your goalposts again for Khamzat.

Khamzat is a WW so who else should he fight? Rob is a top 3 contender and former champion.

Love Bobby Knuckles, but this is a very winnable fight for Chimaev. It's not like he's gonna get 1 shot KO'd or anything, so even in a losing outing it will still appear somewhat competitive regardless.

Nah, this is the fight you take when you want to get that TS. Whittaker IMO has seen better days. Whittaker's best bet is surviving the onslaught and winning a decision. Good booking by the UFC.

How is it his homeland? he is from russia?

Fucking phenomenal fight. We've been waiting four God damn years for chimaev to take a fight of this caliber

I'm a Chimaev fan because he's fun to watch, but he's reckless. I think it will cost him against the elite (top 5 guys) and Whittaker may well be the guy to catch him flush and give him his first L.

Anyway, we gotta give credit: Chimaev is a high-risk / low-reward fight for him imo

Sucks to be a Khamzat fan after this fight...

Burns, an ex LW arguably beat him... and would ANYONE pick Burns to beat Robert?
Whittaker lost to Court Mcgee. Chill

what you blabbing on about?
dricus would do the same to chimaev

No, I don't see this version of Rob winning. I don't think the UFC does either otherwise they would have given him someone ranked lower instead.

Bro, he's dead on. Chimaev hasn't weighed 166lbs since he was 8yo.
