Elon Musk Agrees to $44b Deal for Twitter

Elon trying to quiet decent within Twitter by jacking up the wages of those employees still left in some accounts over 100,000 or more a year they made previously per employee. I guess you can buy love no matter what a catturd your boss is in Silicon Valley. Some developers are making upwards of 400K a year plus millions dollars in the company. No doubt other companies been smelling blood in the water around T$tter and seeks to capitalize.

lol at the comments about how she is wasting water

Just like that, new CEO of Twitter just turned a bunch of anti-COVIDs into sustainability/environmentalists

Imagine that!

This dumb ass finally realises the political pressure that forced the hand of the people that ran Twitter before he bought it...

... and is now explaining that political pressure forced his hand!

What a fuckin' moron.
He's not a moron, he knew exactly what he was getting, one of the largest platforms in the country to reach the masses.

No he had an impulsive bad idea while probably on cocaine and by the time he realized he'd made a mistake he'd already made obligations he could not escape. He does not understand what gave Twitter it's utility and that if he takes that away Twitter will just lose it's relevance. Twitter as a social institution is like what 10 years old(founded in 2006 but since when it became the "town square" that everyone used)? It's cultural place was not secure enough for him to boldly ransom people to pay for it. That status can absolutley be lost along with it's value.

He had an out he could have just taken over the platform made minimal changes and declared it a "free speech zone" or some symbolic bs his followers would have eaten up while not changing how the site worked. But no actually started implementing his stupid ideas.

One of the worst was his uber-buffing his own relevance by 1,000 times.

Stopped watching after she got the very first step wrong. You should wet your hands first, then apply soap. The clown hired a moron.

This could be the biggest problem yet for Elon is the founder of Instagram and Mark Zuckerberg have enter into the twitter space with what now looks like a nice alternative. Given Elon's issues and really poor streaming performance of their platform this could really shake things up in this space.
Project Barcelona rumored to be called currently.

"
The name for the app is still unknown, but Haberman’s report says the internal codename for the app is called "P92," "Project 92," or "Barcelona."

The app allows for creators to have “conversations” with their audience and peers through a maximum of 500 characters alongside attachable links, photos, and videos. Users are also able to engage with posts through replies, likes, and reposts.

Creators are able to link their Instagram accounts onto the new app and bring along their followers as well as bio, handle, and verification.""

Since Elon Musk acquired Twitter in a tumultuous $44 billion deal completed last October, the social network has turned down very few requests for content restriction or censorship from countries like Turkey and India, which have recently passed laws limiting freedom of speech and the press. Although the billionaire owner of SpaceX and Tesla presents himself as a free speech absolutist, the social network he controls has bowed to hundreds of government orders during his first six months at the helm, according to data provided by the company to a public audit that tracks pressure from governments or judges on online platforms. The most recent example was the blocking of accounts critical of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, two days before the elections held in Turkey last Sunday...

Twitter’s acquiescence to autocratic or non-liberal regimes is not an exaggeration by critics of the social network. The data, which the public audit receives automatically, speaks for itself. Since Musk’s takeover, the company has received 971 requests from governments (compared to only 338 in the six-month period from October 2021 to April 2022), fully acceding to 808 of them and partially acceding to 154. In the year prior to Musk taking control, Twitter agreed to 50% of such requests, in line with the compliance rate indicated in the company’s last transparency report (none have been published since October 2022). Following the change of ownership, that figure has risen to 83%, according to the analysis of the data by the technology information portal Rest of World.

Eloy: "I am freeze peach absolutist."

Everyone: "Hey do free speech for Turkish opposition to dictatorship."

Eloy: "....no, what are u st00pid? Lolz"

Eloy Stans: "Gawd I luv this guy!"

Eloy: "Shadow-ban leftists, and anyone openly critical of me. Oh and fire that crippled guy publicly for no reason..."

Eloy Stans: "Yaaaaassss!!"

Besides the Turkey situation where else are they censoring? It’s wild to me that their censorship would be at an all time high. I just don’t understand how they are even capable of censoring more info with such a dramatically reduced staff.

Isn’t another criticism being that they’re not responding to blatant child pr0n and potential trafficking threats? How are they censoring more than ever and missing that horrible stuff?
