f42's Big "Give that (wo)man a wiki!!!" thread

Also I remember like 5 years ago being like "wow how does Petboonchu not have a wiki?" So I would request that.

If you can find combat press rankings that have him in the top ten that should be enough to justify a page.

I looked and he's never been in them, but it's more a problem from the moderators not making the effort because it is written in the rules of the wikipedia kickboxing notability criteria that fighting for the Glory title is enough to have a page.
The problem is that people tried to create his page in like 2015 when he was not notable enough so now as soon someone tries to create it again it gets deleted.

WMC has a 100 lbs male title? I never knew. Crazy that Satanmuanglek is active and elite in 2 sports at once.

Yothin is a perfect example of why having a belt shouldn't be the main measure of success.

It's also a good exemple of how broken and unfair the Thai circuit is...

Is there fighters you're interested in having a page ?

Wanchalong is probably next, Savvas too.

Still less broken than the WMC or WBC circuits.

WBC had Sergei Lashchenko in their rankings top10 for over 3 years after he had died, perhaps the only rankings worse than Glory's.

I think it depends on your perception. I don't really have a problem with the best guy not having a belt, the belt is a promotional tool like in boxing, the best fighters don't need a belt because people know theyre the best. Manny Pacquiao tore through the best guy at one of his weight classes without winning a belt before he moved up. Everyone still knew he was the best. I suspect in Thailand this kind of perception is more common, especially with the gamblers who know all the fighters so well.

For wikis, Rambo(golden age or modern), Prajanchai, Puenkon, Kiewpayak, and Kompatak would all be awesome. Also there are those Japanese guys who won titles at the low weights that everyone forgets about.

Kiewpayak is the one on fire fighter right now who doesn't have a wiki

Golden era guys need nice wikis, I did what I could to get Samart's resume but there is plenty of fights missing, I know some of them but can't find the dates, it would took someone that can read Thai and knows where to look for but it's a start https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samart_Payakaroon

Defintely doing the Japanese too ! I was going to start with Nadaka but I discovered he already has a super detailed page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nadaka_Yoshinari I wonder who did it, that's a dedicated follower, one less to do, cool for me.
