the old school fighters, at the end of the day, always mostly gave respect to their opponents. it was a far more brutal era IMO, real rivalries, real hatred, yet once the fight was over, respect was given, because it was earned.

yes in those days fighters kissed each other after they had fought each other. very good observation you made. fedor's kiss on couture's bald head is a very good example of fighters going 'to the death' in the octa-ring but commentate and kiss each other right after.
