Is this a true story or just a fabrication? I mean the guy lives in Hilo so what are the chances he's at a grocery story in LA and only buying candy bars?

Beyond that, if true, he was probably drunk/high. Speaking of that, how come we never hear the guy going to jail for his indiscretions? I guess he and his family have enough sway on the big island that he never really faces consequences.

100% true. Not many people are aware, but the nickname "The Prodigy" was 1st given to him by a local loss prevention team for his petty larceny abilities and nothing to do with jiujitsu.
