Kaito Oda put on a grappling masterclass in his ONE Championship debut, as he pounded his way to a unanimous decision over previously undefeated Australian prospect Coopar Royal in their ONE Friday Fights 60 flyweight showcase on Friday at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The opening round witnessed Oda press his adversary against the ropes and eat a few sneaky shots before grabbing a body lock and taking his Australian opponent for a ride. Although Royal tried his best to inflict damage and go for submissions from the bottom, Oda’s top pressure was quick to nullify his attempts and allowed him to commence with peppering ground-and-pound offense. Halfway through the first frame, Royal managed to make it back to his feet, only to be taken down once again and controlled on the canvas for the rest of the round.

The remainder of the bout saw Oda continue to impose his will on the MMA Family Fight Team product, who seemed content to stay in bottom position while occasionally threatening the Nagasaki, Japan, native with guillotine chokes. In the end, Oda walked away with one-sided decision in his first assignment with the organization.

In other action, Suriyanlek Por Yenying returned to the win column with a unanimous decision over Rittidet Sor Sommai in their 132-pound catchweight muay thai main event; Focus Adsanpatong finished Comeback TK Yutthana at the 1:32 mark of the first frame in their 130-pound catchweight muay thai contest; Songfangkhong FA Group defeated Khunponnoi Sor Sommai via technical knockout 59 seconds into the second frame of their 136-pound catchweight muay thai battle; Kaoklai Chor Hapayak stopped Suwatlek TDed99 just 2:45 into their 136-pound catchweight clash; Yodnumchai Fairtex knocked out Mahesuan Aekmuangnon with a crisp jab-cross at the 1:21 mark of the first frame of their atomweight muay thai clash; Detphupa ChotBangsaen knocked out Sangsakda BoyTarchang with a thudding hook at the 2:09 mark of their 113-pound catchweight muay thai affair; Suakim Sor Jor Thongprajin stopped Deniz Demirkapu with a devastating hook 1:22 into the second frame of their 140-pound catchweight muay thai clash; Eisaku Ogasawara earned a majority decision against Sornsueknoi FA Group in their 132-pound catchweight muay thai contest; Panmongkol CMA Academy knocked out Panmongkol CMA Academy with a blistering right hand 1:50 into their 130-pound catchweight muay thai meeting; Junior Fairtex walked away with a unanimous decision over Masami Machida in their atomweight muay thai clash; and Liisi Vaht submitted Natsuki Takamoto with an armbar 1:38 into their strawweight submission grappling clash.
