I've had this go 'round with several of the people in this thread and have pointed out that once the VRA was gutted, the GOP dropped an avalanche of suppressive laws. These laws are almost always thrown out by the courts as suppressive after the fact but by then it's too late, the damage has been done.

They don't care, they just want to win by any means necessary. True to conservative form, they'll protect X by hurting Y, when hurting Y was always the goal.

The short of it is, suddenly Texas has 1/4 of a million new voter registrations every week, many are fake Social Security Numbers, and dead people. Many Swing States have over 1/2 of their voter registration each week that are fake.

These numbers should make none of us feel good about the security of our elections.

There's definitely a concerted effort by some to sow doubt over the integrity of our elections but where are the actual cases of fraud? It's pretty silly to ignore that disenfranchisement is also something being pushed as a strategy by some so trying to imply that making it more difficult to vote will make our elections more fair isn't necessarily true. It's also hard to take people seriously that continue to claim the '20 election was stolen from TR7MP and especially those that used their government positions to try to overturn the legal results.

You cunt's don't have any new tech or security measures that you want to enable. And it's not like the ID itself is what lets a vote get counted (it gets checked against the rolls, etc.).

Everyone sees this horseshit for what it is. Make bullshit claims about voter fraud. Demand a national ID. Refuse to fund said national ID and then make sure to roll it out in favorable districts.

If you guys were serious about voter ID and were not looking to just suppress the vote, you'd have pitched these solutions during the years you've been screeching about this. So until you fill in the blanks and answer some of these questions, the rest of us will just continue to consider you as they liars you always were.

Where I live we need an ID to even function.
Drivers license at least, or a national ID card that also works in some other countries.
Both is approx 50USD.

Life with out an ID would be extremely hard here. You need to be able to ID your self on so many occasions.

Anti-voter ID people always claim racism but always fails to mention that voter ID laws would benefit certain races who overwhelmingly vote Democrat, like Asian and Jewish people who have higher rates of voter ID than 'white' people and vote Democrat. Naturalized immigrants as well vote overwhelmingly Democrat and have valid voter ID by definition.
