Grasso would demolish both Fiorot and Blanchfield one after another.

I think Grasso has improved her tdd quite a bit. She's still not amazing at it though.

if they didnt make that fight, i'd say Erin takes her out in three rounds.

I'm not sure about Fiorot. Could go either way maybe if Grasso can keep it standing. I can see Grasso winning that on the feet.

I said she woulda been, before that fight against Maycee and prob a fav against Grasso.

But to be honest, I don't even like Erin, so it is what it is. We agree to disagree.

And someone brought up Aldrich, but she's a solid wmma fighter. She was beating Maycee too before she got caught.

Erin woulda been an enormous fav against Maycee and likely a fav against Grasso.

If they ever fight down the road, feel free to bump this. Erin beats Grasso, and I don't even like Erin.
Fair enough. Agree to disagree. I'm just not seeing this version of Erin as a serious threat to the top 3. She's still too incomplete of a fighter. If she improves her stand up she most certainly could be, but as of now? IMO no.

wait Maycee is top 4 LMAAAAAAAAAO

she isn't beating Fiorot anytime soon, but she's beating Grasso. Val we will have to see. Fiorot is massive at that weight.

Prime Shev murders Erin and the Fiorot from last night.

If she held her own against Nunez (one of the strongest, most dangerous WMMA fighters of all time), Fiorot's size advantage isn't worth much.

I didn't even notice Erin was top 3 lol. Wild how she got ranked so high without having any kind of decent striking

like, i am not an Erin supporter.

i still remember getting into a debate about Erin vs Dumont with another sherbro.

I thought and still think Dumont would've made Erin look like she did last night.

There are plenty of examples of guys with bleh striking but great grappling making it to the TOP of divisons. I don't understand how people are still suprised by this. Being a specialist is incredibly deadly in MMA

A few days ago, all these people were like, "Fiorot doesn't have a chance, age, grapple, Blanch is the next champ, yada."

My response: meh, I think Fiorot is abut 20 years meaner than Blanch.

I watched the fight with my teenage daughter.

We agreed Fiorot looked "down one notch".
Not much attack, not double-quick, not often aggressive, etc.

So I got treated to a lecture from a girl about the vagaries of female athletic competition, until I had enough. Like yah, I know, enough.

The point: we think Fiorot had a slow night.

A few days later, here we are again.

I'm not a big Fiorot fan. Weight-bully.

But honestly. What is up around here?

Ima start a thread:

FRIGGIN MASVIDAL WOULD DEMOLISH ASPINALL AND SERGIE AT THE SAME TIME IN THE FIRST ROUND!! NOW!! FUCKIN NOW MOTHERFUCKER!! NOW NOW NOW!

K.

I'm better now. And I think I fit in a little better, right?

And Manon?

What is her hole?
She dips hard to the left when exiting the clinch or circling out. Leaves her wide open to a right high kick.
I think Grasso has improved her tdd quite a bit. She's still not amazing at it though.
She still needs to work on defending singles and doubles, as shown in the Shevchenko fights. However, she improved her up body takedowns (that most wmma fighters prefer) to the point that Shevchenko abandoned clinch style takedowns to go for doubles/singles against her, when we all know Shevchenko prefers clinch takedowns to all others.

Yeh, gotta get good at defending clinch grappling if you're fighting Shev.

Weirdly enough, Shev often starts going for doubles instead of the clinch tds later in fights once she's slowed down a little. You'd think she would prefer the less taxing td attempts at that point.

Yeah but they don't normally make it to top 3 if they're in a stronger division without improving other areas of their game beforehand unless they are extremely crafty or very physically gifted.

Agreed well mostly because I wanna smash grasso so badly

Grasso hasn't done jack shit other than fight Valentina. She was literally just another fighter in the division prior to that win. There is no reason to believe she is going to be some dominant champion.

Dude are you apart of Erin's team or what? I don't know how you can sit there and confidently say Erin is an ENORMOUS favorite against Maycee and Alexa. Erin was exposed last night. Her Stand up game is atrocious. If you are able to stop her TD's you pretty much auto win as long as you have a decent stand up game.
Blanchfield’s game counters Maycee’s. Maycee doesn’t have a good standup game either. She is a plodding brawler who lacks a wrestling game. She is more of a fence pusher. Her style gives Blanchfield easy entries to the body lock.

@CatchtheseHands @xhaydenx

I just want to say, Grasso is a great fighter, and I didn't want to sound dismissive of her skills or anything. Like if @xhaydenx you bet on Grasso against Erin, and if Grasso pulls it off, hats off to you.

Grasso has a wrong style to beat Erin. Grasso doesn't have Fiorot's size, strength, TDD, nor the footwork to fend Erin off.
And she won't. Now, she did beat Shev, so it's not like I would entirely count out Grasso and I'm sure the line may be close, but in terms of a match up I'd put Erin at -400 favourite, though she may even be an underdog now.

I like Grasso, and I don't like Erin. But Erin's a prodigy at that age, and Grasso doesn't have skillset to beat Erin. Even the way she grapples in her fight is just wrong to beat Erin. She may beat Fiorot though if she can keep it standing.

Anyways, just felt like I was being too dismissive perhaps, I mean, what's not to like about Grasso? Tough, hot and nice. I'd be fairly suprised if she pulls it off against Erin, let me put it that way. And she won't.
