Social How Hillary KILLED Feminism For A Generation

Woman are realizing this actually don't want to be empowered that much, as it comes with a lot of responisibility and worries.

I think militant feminists should really grow some balls and fight for some waman's rights in parts of the world where it's actually necessary.

Seriously, actually growing some balls might help them in that venture.
i dunno bro, lots of people get really upset when women with balls do things.

To be honest, I'm not sure you can have a consumer-based economy and not live in a feminised society.
Women, by far, drive the majority of consumer purchases, and the entirety of modern, advanced societies are essentially built - directly or indirectly - around meeting feminine needs.
From film to food, everything is targeted at women and your economy is, more or less, built of the back of their buying habits.

That's probably the primary motivation underpinning female empowerment at the end of the day.
Can you cite a source on this subject?

I doubt Hillary had much to do with it. Feminism in the West is just growing less and less relevant as time goes on, there are more pressing issues that need to be solved. By all accounts, Western women are doing pretty good for themselves, and the less self-centered ones have moved towards solving problems that concern groups that are facing bigger obstacles, and the problems that concern humanity and the planet in general.

Like with every social movement in history, you eventually reach the point when you've pretty much accomplished the goals that were initially set, and feminism in the West has largely reached this point. The people who remain in the movement, and who are the most vocal about it, are basically just arguing over minor things that have little to no impact on the average woman's life. There's just not a whole lot of room there to make a true impact if you want to improve people's lives, and that's why most of the people have moved on.
Modern feminism is basically, "Hey, we want to exploit the working class too!"

Feminism won. You wouldn't think twice about your daughter becoming a doctor or lawyer if she was able to. Before the only roles she could have were, nurses and teachers.

1st and 2nd wave feminism has become the default. By contrast, 3rd and 4th wave are openly mocked as a bunch of rebels without a cause, looking for any revolution they can to feel like they made progress. Even if it is detrimental to themselves, their in-group, and their community.

I get asked why I consider myself a conservative. It is because I want to conserve the western christian inspired liberal democracies our ancestors built.

That is hilarious. You should post that on YLYL

Yeah, probably is swinging back, but not really because of Hillary. They just got too ridiculous with it. It's a shame they had to burn through 1 or 2 generations of turning women into angry spinsters and single moms before people see how bad the results are and want to go back the other way. It also helps that conservatism is now the counter culture, so rebellious kids are steered toward traditional values as their rebellion against the establishment.

So you’re a liberal after all

So you’re a liberal after all

Liberal is the opposite of fascist, conservarive is the opposite of radical, traditionalist is the opposite of progressive.

I'm more liberal than I am fascist (1), more conservative than I am radical (2), and more traditional than I am progressive (3)

For example:-
1) I believe in the right to bear arms and form well regulated militia, I also believe in freedom of speech, religion and sexuality. I believe the market economy is the most efficient way of producing both goods and wealth.
2) I believe that small incremental changes are necesary for any person or society to adapt and to maintain that adaptation. No changes leave us stagnating, and too sudden a change leaves us regressing to the old mean. Take home ownership in the west, where some would stick their heads in the sand as young people give up hope of ever being homeowners or having a family. And others would suggest we blow up the entire system and create a top down communist one. I merely suggest we financially encourage local goverments to build homes in house, and then sell directly to owner-occupiers.
3) I am mostly a traditionalist because, for example, whilst I agree that women should have plenty of opportunities to work and live their lives with respect, that their primary duty in a healthy society is raising the next generation. The fact that some women like the freedom to break this cycle is academic; as long as most women exist in an ecosystem where they have the support to fufil this role, our society continues.

Our society is definitely still governed by the feminist viewpoints.

I think the pendulum will swing back more conservative but only a little

Feminism got women out of the home and into careers, but female overall happiness has declined with this change over time

Interesting that the chart ends right around the time smart phones and social media proliferated. I'd be interested to see how the trend went after that. I'd wager both sexes are less happy than they were in previous generations.

God I hate today's title cards on YouTube with people making the dumbest faces with extreme titles.

It's seems like feminism has become the war protesters without a war to protest.

The new war is not one they want to fight. That is men believing they are women and taking away things from them.

So all that is left is the craziness with no direction.

When I first got into marketing, I remember reading up on the Torches of Freedom campaign and how - through leveraging "equal rights" narratives and employing well-know feminists as the influencers of the time, cigarette sales in 1920s America shot through the roof, largely by pushing them onto women as a sexual taboo to be overcome by empowered women.
It's a little amusing, and very illustrative, that feminists were selling cancer to women and calling it empowering - not much has changed in the past 100 years.

The actual effectiveness of the campaign has been called into question in recent years - but looking at the commercialisation of social justice narratives, even given how it's jumped the shark, I don't have much doubt.
Yeah, was Edward Bernays behind that, and his nephew is the co-founder and first CEO of netflix.

It was a platform her subordinates and fervent supporters pushed while at the same time her political opposition highlighted in a successful negative light.

Our society is definitely still governed by the feminist viewpoints.
