How many PPVs will AJ vs Ngannou sell?

Members on the general UFC forum think it won't sell well but AJ by himself used to be a PPV machine.

Outside of North America it might do well. In North America, very poorly. But as others have mentioned PPV sales aren’t the point.

300k usa
Around 1 million UK

Around the UK fury v ngannou has a lot of interest. I'd think it sold well there so Frank generated a lot of interest even though the UK had no idea who was.

They will be dependent on uk ppv sales. It might do well in the US if ufc fans buy.

It will sell well in Europe and the UK. There's lots of buzz around this fight – unlike the Fury/Ngannou fight. Now that they know what Ngannou can do and AJ had a dominant performance vs Wallin, people are genuinely curious about this fight. To the casuals it's 2 giant muscular guys with KO power fighting. That's easier to hype because you don't have to explain why Tyson fury looks like a bag of milk.

For the US, it's Friday afternoon. It will obviously not sell well but that's not the point. The buzz is. The number of times people talk about this fight and Saudi as a sports mecca and a vacation destination is the point. This isn't about the fight, just like LivGolf isn't really about golf and Ronoldo playing for Al Nassr isn't really about football/soccer.

100Kish in the states, max.

The fight should do fine on PPV. Either way, who really cares? Both guys have big guaranteed purses ($20m for Ngannou & $50m for AJ). They could sell no PPVs and still receive all of their money.

Exactly Who fucking cares? Saudis don’t give a shit about money… this is a different beast that you cannot compare to regular promoters, this people have 2 much money and they are doing this for themselves, they don’t care about PPV sales… they just want to outperform any Middle East countries with their Riyadh season … promoters have to do this, because nobody knows how long they’ll be interesting in burning cash in the sport

It won't sell much at all because Saudi's don't care about PPV.

It's being held on Friday morning in the US, afternoon in London. People will still be at work.

I still think it will sell well in Britain. Half the country finish half day on a Friday. All the armed forces do

They are fighting for the King... everyone else just gets to kick back and watch... Plus we get a few rap concerts
