I still say that Nate Diaz being forced to keep fighting when he was trying to quit against Tony Ferguson is...

I thought he quit, but the ref thought he was just being Nate and didn't stop the fight, so Nate kind of snapped out of it and decided he'd keep fighting. Nobody is forced to fight, he could just tap on the mat, or say clearly that he's done, or literally jump out of the cage, you can't say he was forced against his will
He wanted to jump out of the cage but could barely stand

So what if the ref doesn't stop it when a fighter is tapping out? Is it the fighter's fault for not screaming? If the ref won't acknowledge a fighter quitting, then the fighter has no choice but to fight against his will. You're basically saying it's all on Nate because he didn't shit his pants and start screaming, or do whatever to be ungovernable within the rules of the contest. Why should a fighter have to DQ himself to make a fight end?
