Again felt strong so instead of just doing 3's @185, gave it a bit more of a go. Expected to only get 3 @ 190 but still felt strong after the first 3, so decided to try further. Didn't feel fragged, however ended up pulling 3, reset and then 1 for the 4th and re racked while still up.

Cardio
Ran home from work

Took it easy for first 3 miles, keeping HR sub 150 bpm (8 min 33, 8 min 35 and 9 min per mile. Sped up in the last 2 miles as wanted to just get a sweat on and just feel some burn. Legs were shakey during the first 2 miles anyway after deads the day before.
4th mile 7 min 55
5th mile 8 min 01
Average HR was 152 bpm overall. Last 2 miles were average between 155 and 159 bpm.

Cardio
Slow 5 miler. Horrendous weather (storm fraya I think) and just felt fatigued. Had Thursday and Friday off training, but after the 0530 alarm clock wednesday I was working until 1145 then driving bar 3 stops for lunch/dinner and pee stop for the pregnant wife until 2300, so I think that has something to do with the overall tiredness.

Lifting
10.5 hour day at work (0750-1830), no breakfast, no time for lunch, no breaks, straight through.
Smashed 2 bannanas and a apple in for food and then headed to gym for a short one.

Some rowing to warm up. Battery on machine broken.

Then time to go.

I didn't deadlift last week due to being away from home and no chalk so going from the 5's and a 4 at 190 and having a break seems to have been beneficial.
I maybe have 3 weeks until baby 1 is born, dependant on next week and emergency c section if all goes pete tong, however unlikely that is. If not planned at week 39 (36 this friday).

I wonder if I can get 5's at 200 in that time.....I fucking doubt it.

Good deadlifting mate, good luck for the 5 x 200, and the birth of course! Hope it all goes smoothly.

Cheers mate.

I've pulled 5's at 200 before. Not recently, but I did a single set in Jan last year and in 2015. A bit specific but I did them both before my birthday in February.
Its the 'can I get 5x5@200' is what I doubt I'll manage. I reckon I could get a set or two it now, but I'd be CNS fragged to get 5 sets.

I'll not be updating for a while when baby is due so that'll be the writing on the wall.

Currently weighing in at 206lb in the morning so I need to cut some weight down at some point to make the running easier again.

Cardio

55 minutes on the indoor bike. Average HR was 147, but I maintained around 154 for the last 35 minutes. It just takes a while to get the HR up beyond 120 on the bike for me.

Average power was 218 watts. It was 222 for the first 35 minutes then I decreased the resistance to keep sub 160 HR (although cranked it up to 162 or so for the last 5 minutes as a fuck it move).
Distance covered was 21.8 miles.

Was in a pool of sweat by the end.

06/03/19

Cardio
Ran a 5 miler home with running pack on. Maybe an additional 6 lbs of weight.

Tried to treat it as a hard run, however, it was hard (HR average 154), but pace was 8 min 51 by the end.
Was a physically hard run. Hamstrings tight, legs tired, back hurting.

Had breakfast in the morning, but lunch was a macro meal shake from my protein, a banana and apple.

The weather again was just shit. Even my seal skin socks had a pool of water in them.
I know whenever I run and I'm weather the jottnar hymir, I'm always going to suffer because I end up getting horrendously hot (outside of gear was drenched with rain, T Shirt was drenched with sweat. I know it wasn't rain as my phone in my pocket was bone dry, just a lot of condensation). BUT, my headphones are not waterproof so I end up running with the hood up to keep my headphones dry.
I may look to invest in something for runs at least that is more breathable and designed for high activity output. The jottnar gear is designed for mountain weather climbing....in winter.

This now being the 7th, I feel fatigued and generally tired. I'll have today as a rest day.

9 March 19

Cardio
1.25 mile run warm up
6 repeats up a 0.2 mile stretch of hill. Sub 1 min 20 up, 2 min down (usually 1 min 30-40 then breath and go again).
All repeats were between 6 min 55 and 7 min 10 per mile pace.

So not really sprints as much as fast runs...in my current 200+lb state anyway.

10 March 19

Cardio

Wasn't really feeling it, so did 4 mile run. Average HR was 148 and pace was 8 min 41 per mile.

Cardio
Did a 20 miler on the spin bike. Time was 51 minutes or so.
Average HR was 148 bpm and average power was 210 watts.

If you're referring to the session for the 9th March, yeah.
I've got a epix so I do my runs and use that to upload to my phone and the web (/strava).

In reality for those intervals, I run between one road and another up a hill so I know where my start and end points are.
