One bad fight and now all of sudden “Dagestan wrestling” is overrated because of course one performance like that against probably the GOAT FW nullifies years of success.

There is like I think around 40-50 Dagestani guys currently in UFC, Bellator, PFL, ONE and Rizin. And only Makhachev and U. Nurmagomedov are champions. Is that good? No idea, for some reason no one cares to do stats like that about states/provinces in US, Canada, Brazil or Mexico.

Nope, for the same reason why D1 wrestling doesn’t suck because GSP could neutralize it.

Volk and GSP are just incredibly smart and hard working, they picked up grappling much better than most people do.

I think GSP vs Khabib looks a lot like this fight, except GSP wouldn’t be much smaller like volk is and probably gets the win IMO.
