Not a bad year, kept health with a few injuries. Routine is all over the fucking place, but that's expected. I know sticking to a program over 3 weeks ain't happening. Too much bouncing is costing any area from noticeable improvements. There's only 1 creature who is a body building, calisthenics, strongman, Olympic, gymnast ; and Jujimufu I am not. 200lbs was a fun goal to hit, but it's too far from my natural maintenance. Too small a frame to continue trying to become a strongman, but the lifts are fun AF. 40 is at the door, answer it. Respect it. I love the 7 day split, time to get smarter on what goes into enough active rest. Listen to the body, get off the ego pushing.
Diet:
LMAO - garbage disposal . Just because everyone is in shower doesn't mean the cookies and 2 bowls of cereal don't count. Cleaning it up. More protein, more water, cut the caffeine in half and get out of the damn kitchen after supper.
Time:
Finally dialed in. 45m to 1Hr 20m can get a warm up, few good sets and GTFO. Happy life & wife.
Started a chart to get all my bigs in twice a week with 3 days between. Then it got too complicated. I'm keeping my Carries, Oly, and strong lifts. Stopped once it started looking like a detailed program. But will focus more on the resting splits and stretching.
Injuries:
Without going flip back through books, there were a few.
Crushed toe-lost toenail - Titan leg press fault
Wrist and palm - self inflicted - horrible catch on clean and bent wrist back
Ankles - on and off - almost convinced it's work boots
Elbows - self inflicted - over use on pull ups and push downs
right groin area - self - 800+ on Leg press , something pulled
Lower back - self - RPE 9-10 heavy pulls followed next day with heavy bags
No majors right now. Healed enough to workout without direct caution. Can do better with less frequency and foam rolling BS nagging parts.
Closeout :
This gonna be a good year. Have more drive and zeroed in on goals than years previously. Working to get back to 180-185 lean. If numbers drop then so be it. Will be slowing down lifts, holdings more burnouts, pushing past RPE 5 on the regular. May be nixing straight bar bench, it hurts shoulders more than any benefit. More Carries (love the way Back is responding to these) , watching more tutorials on Oly work, strongman adventures may venture out more (looking at Atlas Stones) . Still excited to be here, every damn day. Fahcough - ya bitch.
