“You never know, I might come back some day,” Koscheck said. “The biggest thing about my mixed martial arts career, at the ending it didn’t go the way I wanted. It’s almost like you kind of just lose it, and it pains me to say that. It really, truly pains me as a fighter because I have a big ego - everybody that steps inside that cage has a big ego - but I truly didn’t have it. I couldn’t go out there and compete with these young guys. I felt great in the gym. I was in great shape. I don’t think I was ever in better shape than I was at 38, 39, and 40, but I just didn’t have it.”

Wasn't a big fan, but he did take that cheapshot like a boss.

Honest assessment of himself at this point of his career. Respect to Kos for that. If only more fighters can do this. Yeah, I'm looking at you Chuck.

Koscheck was the original MMA heel.

Had a good career. But that eye after the first round of the St Pierre fight… Glad he still has his vision.

When was the last time he fought?

I thought he retired 10 years ago

Koscheck was an ass but he stayed afloat through a couple eras at WW and was still competitive with the up and comers until his last slid. For that I give him props.

Woodley knocking him out was so funny. Only good thing Woodleys done

I was never a fan of his personality but enjoyed his fights. It went downhill when he began to fancy himself a boxer - the same thing was what brought down Ronda.

Still remember his KO of Zenko...

He beat hendricks in my opinion. Was basically better Hendricks in terms of making weight and athletic ability.
